Pass The Past Coffee

Upon entering the shop, I was extremely confused. The front of the place is a botique while the back section is where the coffee shop is. If you are looking for a coffee shop where you can sit down, (I never am, but a lot of people are) you will be very disappointed. After being greeted by a disinterested barista, I ordered a dirty chai and was very surprised that it was $11 (13 with a tip). This makes it the most expensive chai I have ever gotten and I travel all over the country and since a dirty chai is my go to, I have gotten it in every state I have been to. Also...the retail section had some nice pieces but no one was in the front so idk...does one pay in the back?

Pass the Past Coffee is warm, welcoming, and full of character. The coffee is rich and delicious, and the staff make you feel instantly at home. I also love that they sell vintage clothing. It adds a fun and unexpected touch, and the pieces are genuinely great finds. A perfect spot for great coffee and a little treasure hunting.

Oh my gosh, I love Pass the Past Coffee! I've lived in CWE for a couple of years now but I haven't felt like part of the community or neighborhood until Erica and Eugene opened the coffee shop! The staff are very kind, knowledgeable, and always eager to share their favorites and recommendations. And perusing the beautiful collection of vintage apparel and housewares is addicting. I can't buy enough of their men's button downs!

Visited Pass the Past Coffee today! It was so hot outside and I was in need of a refreshing drink. The Matcha Coconut Refresher was the perfect drink! I ordered mine with strawberry syrup. The drink was so pretty when served and tastes amazing! Kennedy was so welcoming and kind! She answered all my questions and chatted with us about the store. Great service! The atmosphere is really cool, I enjoyed looking at all of the antiques in the store. Only thing I wish they had available is indoor seating, especially on extremely hot St. Louis summer days like this! Will definitely be coming back to try more of their matcha drinks.
