Crema's Take

Monolith brings a refreshingly thoughtful approach to San Gabriel's coffee scene with a bright, nature-inspired space that feels equally suited for serious studying or leisurely dates. Their menu ventures beyond traditional espresso into unexpected territory—think creatively crafted signature drinks like the Nagano Soba Cha that blur the line between coffee shop and artisanal beverage destination. This is a place where you're paying for craft and creativity rather than speed, with reviewers consistently praising the imaginative flavor combinations and the care that goes into each cup.

3/7 Soft Opening Very interesting modern, nature/earthy interior environment. Plenty of sunlight. Great for relaxing, studying, dates. Drinks might be considered on the pricier side but dedication to presentation and quality compensates.

New contender in the coffee game in the SGV. Besides the creatively done decor their coffee also is creatively crafted. For those who like a good cup of coffee, check the place out.

Huge line out this cute coffee shop with yummy combination drinks. BF liked the Nagano Soba Cha, a savory apple tea that tasted like sipping an apple pie. Matched the hot weather nicely, felt cool. Drinks had umami flavor, just a hint of sweetness. The miso caramel cream served with the Hojicha was the exception, it was sweet and paired nicely with crackers. I came for the matcha latte, as per usual. Enjoyed it. Good matcha. Odd location, would never have found this spot had I not been looking for it. Came during the opening day and stayed for half an hour, sipping drinks and chatting. Good vibes, friendly baristas who laughed at but OK’d my request for extra crackers. PARKING - a dozen or so spots in the back, a small lot. Spots can be tight, trucks might want to park elsewhere.

Amazing new coffee shop on Valley. They have some of the more unique pairings and creations I’ve ever seen from a coffee shop. You won’t be coming here for the speed of service. You’re coming here for quality drinks, made with love and precision.
