Crema's Take

Nestled in a charming converted house in Hampstead, Grumpy Grandpa's serves up thoughtfully crafted espresso drinks and specialty beverages in a genuinely welcoming space that feels like visiting friends—complete with old-fashioned toys, kids' books, and a full tea bar. The baked goods are a real highlight (those blueberry muffins get serious love), and whether you're stopping in for a caramel mocha breve or matcha latte, you'll find the kind of genuine hospitality from the owners that keeps people coming back.

My daughter took me to Grumpy Grandpa because I’m a grandpa! Ha! I got a Carmel Mocha Breve and my daughter got a Vanilla chai with a shot of espresso. Very good and hit the spot; coffee anytime. Located near the airport the old time feel is great!

I absolutely love the atmosphere at Grumpy Grandpa’s! I love the blueberry muffins and most of all I love the kid friendly atmosphere! Old fashioned toys like the marble race and lots of kids books to explore. Thank you for supporting other small business’s too! Overall excellent!!!

Stopped on a whim...closest to where we were and wife wanted a coffee. Cool little house/building. Also has a tea bar as well. Good quick service. She got a latte...it was a little too sweet. They put more plain coffee into it. All better. If we lived near here we would probably go a bunch.

I'm new to the area, and my daughter and I love finding coffee shops. This is my favorite! The atmosphere in the whole house was comfortable. We enjoyed our coffee in the front room (living room), and finished them outside among the beautiful azaleas. Can't wait to get there again. I love old rustic houses.

We adore this place! The owners alone are enough to return, but the espresso and matcha drinks are perfection! They offer an array of cookies as well that are large and delicious! They have a picnic table out front and a few bistro table and chairs inside. Not great for large groups hoping to stay a while, but extremely convenient to pop in and grab an amazing drink. So glad to have them in this area! You must stop in and support this amazing family doing coffee right!
