Press Coffee

Crema's Take
“Press Coffee feels like a carefully curated refuge in San Antonio's coffee scene, where espresso drinks are taken seriously and the thoughtfully designed space—complete with lush plants and a community board—invites you to linger whether you're studying, meeting a colleague, or just needing a mental reset. The owners clearly care about both their craft and their customers, evident in the quality of their lattes and French press coffees, plus solid breakfast options like kolaches that round out a genuinely welcoming experience. It's the kind of spot that works equally well for a focused work session or an unhurried conversation, with a distinctly adult, comfortable vibe that sets it apart from typical student hangouts.”

I visited a few weeks ago to test another coffee shop in San Antonio coffee scene. The inside and patio of the store were clean and welcoming. I ordered a cinnamon roll which I usually test out along with a Cortado. Both items were average, 3/5. The Cortado had too much milk. The cinnamon roll was quite hard and flaky contrary to the style I am used to and enjoy. It was missing some more frosting and soft inner swirl with cinnamon and sugar as well unfortunately. I would try them both again just to make sure it was not an off day.
Wanted a coffee after having breakfast today. Stopped in here - love the vibe and the furniture/plants. Appreciate the board for locals to share their businesses cards and flyers for upcoming events. I got a hot pistachio honey breve, which turned out perfect - not too sweet. My husband tried an iced raspberry pecan rooibos loose leaf tea with a touch of honey - delicious and earthy!
I saw this spot while on my way to another destination and I’m glad I stopped! This is a cute coffee spot for college students to study, lawyers to stop and meet other lawyers, or even when you’re on the go and need something quick. The snacks are the cutest, different and the Rip Van waffles are made in Europe. I want to go back just try all of the different snacks they have because they don’t look American nor heavy on sugar. I also got a medium size French press dark roast coffee and I must say 🤌🏾 chefs kiss ✨
I was looking for a coffee shop with breakfast options in the area and ended up at Press. I got a latte and my husband ordered French Press, both were delicious. For food, we got a kolache and a veggie quiche. They were both pretty good but the quiche wasn’t super warm. The staff was really friendly. As far as atmosphere, the music is a little loud so I’d go here more for socializing than a quiet space to work.
Walking in was like taking a mental health day! I’m here for it! The vibe is a super comfortable and adult feel, great for a business meeting, day-date, or a quick stop. And you know me… I go ham for a great cup of coffee! The latte was exceptional, with a bold roasted flavor and perfect creaminess— so good, I ordered 2! With smooth music at a perfect volume level, the quiet-storm vibe, and great coffee—this spot is worth the trip!
