Crema's Take

Tucked inside Neighborhood Hive, The Bean Whole is a cozy neighborhood spot where passionate owner Jed brings genuine expertise to every cup, from carefully crafted cortados to seasonal specialties. The intimate seating by the windows creates the perfect setting to linger, and if you're truly curious, Jed even teaches coffee roasting classes that dive into both the science and soul of the craft. Fair warning: their lighter roasts sometimes lean darker than labeled, but the friendly baristas and the palpable love for coffee make this a worth-revisiting destination for specialty espresso and pour-over lovers.

Recently bought coffee made with their beans in the shop inside Hive. The cortado was good. My beans were listed as a lighter roast, but sadly they are not. They taste very over roasted and almost burned.

Adorable little shop inside Neighborhood Hive. Baristas are super friendly and I enjoy their seasonal beverages! There's a small seating area near the windows which I find quite pleasant if I plan to stay for a bit.

1Star - New review. It pains me to write this as I have bean going to the bean whole weekly for the last 4+ years. I have been turned / shooed twice now due to a private event. This left me in a bind as my schedule is packed and I have a newborn. I understand capitalism and the need to make as much money as possible, but at the expense of your regular clients isn't okay. Picking up beans on a Saturday used to be a highlight of the week, it has now turned into an awkward chore. The vibe is grab your things and go. No exposure to the new roasts, discussions on coffees / cold brew. You will be the only one in there buying coffee beans. Jed's roasts are still awesome, but I can't recommend this place anymore. 5Star - Old Review I have been trying to find a great roastery and thankfully stumbled into this place! The coffee is amazing! The owner is super friendly and let us try a handful of the roasts as well as the brews on tap. The cold brew and nitros are out of this world. They have a great frequent buyers program and the whole bean coffee is priced at a great value. The parking is in back and it was a bit tricky to find. They are only open on Saturdays but I would highly recommend getting there. We will be back!

Amazing coffee experience. Jed is super passionate about coffee. I was so impressed I decided to take his coffee roasting class and learn from the master. Jed taught us the science and art of coffee roasting and we had a lot of fun along the way. Thank you Jed!

What a fun little gem! Just recently started buying coffee here, and oh boy, what a treat! Jed is super friendly, knowledgeable, and seems to really love what he does there. If you are thinking about stopping by, just do it! You won't be disappointed! I'll definitely never go back to buying grocery store coffee.
