Crema's Take

Caffe Aroma is a vintage-filled hideaway in Camarillo where you can actually settle in for hours—think cozy couches, quirky decor, and a genuinely warm owner named Su who makes you feel like a regular instantly. While their specialty lattes (ube, matcha, chai) are a work in progress, the real draw here is the unhurried vibe, decent coffee, and homemade pastries that make it feel more like a friend's living room than a commercial cafe.

There was a hair in our ube latte. I think the lady makes the matcha, ube, and chai lattes with powder. It was not good. I don’t recommend. The ambience was good and the lady working there was nice, but it was not worth it. The crepe was also bad. It was not warm, it was hard for some reason, and the only thing saving it was the Nutella.

Caffe Aroma is the coziest. This is a place you can come sit a while, read a book, chill on the couch, grab a bite, and just kind of hide from the world for a brief moment. The proprietor is so friendly, it's like coming to a family member's house. They'll make you a sandwich and you'll sit in the living room for a bit. Now with that said, I must be honest - the food is nothing to write home about. The menu is basic, and the actual execution of it is even more so. But that almost doesn't matter. It's homey, it's comfortable. The coffee, however, is decent. Definitely pleasant enough to settle into as you pass some time and recharge. Caffe Aroma has been around for as long as I've been in California, and I hope it continues to be; it's a hidden gem, a kind of place that is a unique diamond in the rough.

If you’re looking for a place where you can actually sit and hang out for a while, a place that is unique and homey, come here. This little vintage spot will satisfy all your maximalist dreams. Couches and cushioned chairs welcome you to sip one of their drinks while your eyes wander around looking at the eclectic collection of items placed all around. I ordered the matcha latte, which was delicious. Service is friendly and the WiFi works. There are magazines and local papers on the table for browsing. I highly recommend this place if you’re sick of trendy metal barstool type cafes.

Love love love this cafe! Su was amazing!!! Wow. Why go to a franchise, when you can support a small business owner.. with better service and quality. I don't recall the last time I appreciated a unique local business so much. My wife and I had the #1 egg & cheese on a croissant (made fresh to order) and coffee. The hospitality was unreal and the store was super cute and quaint.

Wow we found a hidden gem!! The shop is very cozy, the owner is very friendly and calm. Coffee is good, muffins are good, and it is fun to look at the decoration / souvenirs. We were lucky to listen to one of the regulars playing guitar and sing songs. The place offers the place to locals for music, arts, etc. very very nice!!
