Candyland

23835 Mill Iron Dr, Rapid City, SD

Crema's Take

This whimsical candy destination in Rapid City leans heavily into nostalgic confections and international sweets rather than specialty coffee, making it more of a novelty stop than a serious caffeine destination. While they do serve traditional coffee drinks and pastries in a family-friendly, leisurely atmosphere, the real draw here is the extensive collection of vintage American candies, Mexican treats, and Japanese sweets that transport visitors back through the decades. It's the kind of place where coffee is a pleasant accompaniment to browsing shelves of retro candy bars and colorful jelly slices, best visited when you're craving both sugar and nostalgia rather than craft coffee.

I didn't. Feel like it was spectacular. It felt outdated and really only focused on taffy and exotic stuff.

It's a good place to go to get specialty candy. About once per year I get my favorite orange and grapefruit jelly candy slices. The prices are steep but it's mainly a tourist stop so I understand.

I guess I didn't realize that SD had sooooo many candy places. This one was very cute. Plenty of candy, candy decor, and merch. A variety of flavors and offerings in most candies. It was raining so we didn't do the mini golf but it did look very fun.

We loved coming here and looking at the candies. They have a good selection of candy found in the US and a good amount of Mexican candies too. They also have some of the popular Japanese candies. They have some random pop flavors like black olive, enchilada, etc.

OMG, A paradise for kids of all ages! This store has every kind of candy you can imagine from the 50's, 60's and 70's and beyond! Remember Chunky bars? Yup, got em. Remember candy cigarettes? Yup, got em. I talked to the lady owner that was there and asked her if it was a franchise. She said no, she is partners with her brother and it was his mid life crisis. Ha ha. His dream to have a candy store with anything you can think of. Well, it's completely charming and awesome. If you're anywhere near Rapid City, you gotta stop by.
