Curious Coffee
303 E 17th Ave, Denver, CO
Crema's Take
“Tucked inside the Tower building, Curious Coffee punches above its weight with creative seasonal drinks like their Ancho Chili Mexican Mocha that taste like coffee-infused mole, plus a solid full breakfast menu that's earned them serious catering praise. The newly renovated space offers plenty of room to linger, and the staff—particularly Debbie—genuinely seem invested in making your visit special, creating an unpretentious spot where both tower workers and coffee enthusiasts actually want to hang out.”

This is more of a snack bar serving workers and visitors at the Tower building than a coffee shop. It does have some sandwiches in addition to snacks/drinks. The Power Tower breakfast sandwich was very good combining ham, bacon, sausage, eggs and cheese. The black pepper on the eggs enhanced the flavor. There are also sandwiches with a choice of meat rather than all three. The coffee was hot and smooth. Service was fine when the shop opened, but there was only one worker who had stepped away and closed up, so there was a brief wait for him to return. The space itself has no seating, but there is a small comfortable area in the building lobby in front of the kiosk where you can sit. Parking for visitors was limited at ground level, but there was an available space and may have been more in the garage.
I cannot say enough good things about Curious coffee's catering! We ordered burritos, coffee, fruit bowl, pastries, and chai for a breakfast after our wedding. We ordered more than we needed in hopes of having leftovers, but our guests thought the food was so good that everyone had 2nds, 3rds, and even 4ths! Everyone at Curious Coffee was so kind, thoughtful, and easy to work with. I rarely leave public reviews, but it was such a great experience I wanted to make sure other people know!
Tried the not-on-the-permanent menu item Ancho Chili Mexican Mocha, so good! Like coffee infused molé. Yum!!!
Great place to hang out and have some coffee and breakfast/lunch as well, Deborah always has a smile and goes the extra mile to make your visit special. This morning after mentioning that I try to stay away from bad carbs, she just took some time and made me an awesome custom omelet. Thank you Deborah!
Im a HUGE coffee shop fan and I really like this shop. It's newly renovated, has plenty of seating and the Americano i order was pretty darn good. Not too expensive of a coffee shop downtown either. A punchcard offers TWO FREE COFFEES after TEN Punches also. I just wish they had wifi...
