Catalyst Coffee
6010 Coors Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM
Crema's Take
“This Albuquerque gem combines serious espresso craftsmanship with a genuinely welcoming atmosphere that feels both artful and unpretentious, where the owner's passion for coffee shines through in thoughtfully executed specialty drinks and seasonal creations. The bright, naturally lit space decorated with local art makes it equally perfect for a solo work session or catching up with friends, and their pastry selection pairs beautifully with their inventive flavor combinations. What sets Catalyst apart is the palpable care that goes into every drink—staff and owner alike seem to actually understand coffee and take pride in making something delicious, not just fast.”

Can’t say enough good things about Catalysts Coffee!! Every drink is always made with great taste and great intentions! The actual space feels like a breath of fresh air! It’s very open and not overwhelming. Michael has created what so many of us on the westside have been looking for-a local coffee shop that gives great flavor, a safe space for all and an atmosphere that creates community!
Catalyst coffee is a great example of what a local coffee shop should strive for! The staff is always nice and the owner is very knowledgeable and friendly! I really like the fact that I can come in and ask about available flavors and milks or even sparkling waters in the summer and have a delicious custom drink. This shop is always trying new recipes with lattes, matchas, and cold brews and even sells high quality tea! For a clean, inviting, and relaxing coffee shop experience, I always recommend catalyst!
Drinks and pastries are so tasty!! Big selection of drinks with really great flavors. The energy is amazing and there's beautiful art all along the walls. There's great natural light, there's seating with tables that you can do computer work or read a book at, and there's also couches and seating areas if you'd like to chat with friends. I had the iced pistachio latte I think? SOOOOO GOOD I drank it in like 60 seconds.
I have tried three different lattes and they all taste gross. The pumpkin spice latte literally tasted like a plain latte … no flavor. I got the pistachio rose today and you can taste a small hint of flavor but the flavor is not good. I wanted to like this place because it’s a nice looking cafe … but the coffee at a gas station tastes better than this place. If you like blah coffee that you could probably make yourself at home, then this place is for you.
I have visited this wonderful coffee house several times while visiting Albuquerque. The owner and staff are always friendly and attentive. The coffee specials are top with interesting a local flavor. When I have ordered pastries they also have been plated well. The establishment is always busy, full of great vibes, and just a reliable place to go. I highly reccomend!
