PJ's Cafe
777 L'auberge Ave, Baton Rouge, LA
Crema's Take
“PJ's Cafe has heart in its bones—the staff genuinely tries to make customers feel welcome and will patiently walk you through drink options—but consistency remains elusive across visits. Their cold brew and traditional coffee drinks show promise when executed well, though specialty beverages like iced chai lattes tend to arrive unpredictable, and the house-made pastries fall short of the quality you'd expect at their price point.”

Eclairs are not bakery quality . Not worth the $4.50 each spent. I was very disappointed. The workers try their best. They are always patient with the customers who can’t decide what to purchase. . There’s barely enough room behind the counter for one employee never mind 2 or 3.
Today, I waited a long time for a simple question about the availability of a hot breakfast sandwich or wrap. There was 1 person behind the counter busy making a blended beverage for employees with L'aberge on their shirts. I did play at the casino last time and the house won. Well, that being said, the way I was treated was not nice at all . The person behind the counter was busy waiting on employees , who were also behind the counter. I waited 6 minutes being the only person waiting at the counter, just to have a question about the availability of hot sandwiches or wraps finally answered. No, there are no hot sandwiches or wraps at 7:30am . These menue items are listed at the top of their menu. I was treated rudely!
The first time was a pleasant experience. There was only one person working. She explained what goes in the coffee I selected. The second time (2 workers) was a Horrible experience! They knew absolutely nothing and couldn’t figure out how or what goes in my coffee! The staff was just as frustrated as I was!! They were completely clueless AF!! I canceled the order bc it resembled nothing like the first order! The consistency was completely different! I will never visit again L’Auberge Hotel & Casino, Small Business Conference.
Friendly staff, but they have no idea what they are doing. I have ordered an iced chai latte here many times, and it’s never correct or consistent. This time it had black floaters in it / I assume coffee, but there shouldn’t be any coffee grounds in my tea.
Out of the 20 or so times I’ve been here, it has only been staffed one time. Although it claims to be open 24hrs, there is always a sign on the counter that basically says they’ll never be back.
