Crema's Take
“This beloved Tampa gem has earned its stellar reputation by nailing the details that matter—their signature creative drinks like the maple brown sugar latte and dulce de leche coffee showcase real skill and fresh ingredients, while their churros with lecherita are the perfect accompaniment to a leisurely morning or afternoon. The bustling, family-friendly atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for lingering over coffee with loved ones, though arrive early on weekends if you want to snag a seat in this deservedly popular spot.”

It was my first time at Casa Azul while visiting my cousin, and she took me there and wow, I completely fell in love with this place. The dulce de leche coffee was amazing, the churros were perfectly crispy and sweet, and the burrito was absolutely delicious. Everyone was super friendly, but Ryan really stood out he took my order and was so welcoming and helpful. On top of that, the owners Carlos and Gabby were super nice and friendly people, which really made the experience even better. You can tell this place truly cares about their customers. I’m so glad my cousin brought me here, and I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in Tampa again! 🤍🤍🤍
Given the reviews, I was expecting phenomenal coffee and food. Unfortunately, I didn’t have that experience. The chorizo burrito was just okay, and the coffee - it wasn’t bad, but it seemed watery and like it could have definitely had more espresso in it. The SERVICE and the overall atmosphere of the place - 10/10. The baristas are so kind, and that is why I still gave this a 4/5 stars. The service was 5/5. I would go back simply just because of the service. But the coffee and the food was just ‘meh’
I had an awesome experience at Casa Azul in Tampa. I ordered the maple brown sugar latte and it was seriously one of the best lattes I’ve ever had—they completely nailed the flavor. I also got the churro bites with the Nutella dip and the burrito, and both were great. The churro bites were warm, fluffy, and not overly sweet, which I loved. The burrito had a nice crunch and really good flavor all the way through. Overall, everything tasted fresh and well-made. Definitely a spot I’d recommend to anyone in the area.
Went here on a Saturday around 11am and it was super busy!! The whole area was filled with people sitting and standing around. Just a heads up for anyone thinking of going on the weekend. We ordered a dulce de leche macchiato, horchata latte, churro bites, turkey and sourdough melt, and potato and chorizo burrito. They told us it would be a while because of how busy it was, but the food came out pretty quickly. The drinks took about 40 minutes though. The food was delicious and the churros were so good! Not too sweet which was perfect! The drinks were also delicious, came with a churro bite on top! Other than the long wait, the food was great and the service was nice despite how busy it was! Would definitely come again during a not so busy time.
Casa Azul is such a gem in Tampa! The coffee is absolutely delicious and you can really taste how fresh and homemade everything is. The churros with lecherita are a must, crispy, warm, and perfectly sweet. The employees are honestly the best, super friendly, and make you feel so welcome every time. Definitely one of my favorite spots in the city! If you visit now for the month of October you’re going to see all the beautiful decorations and coffee flavors for “el Día de Los Muertos” a Mexican tradition. Here are some pictures of how the decorations look, they did so good 🧡✨
