Crema's Take
“Tucked into an interesting corner of Detroit, La Ventana is a minimalist café where owners Juan and Kat have cultivated a genuinely warm, loving environment that keeps regulars coming back for both the carefully crafted espresso drinks and the welcoming vibes. Their signature creations like the DEM latte showcase thoughtful latte art and espresso-forward drinks, making it equally suited for a quick grab or lingering conversation on the long communal benches. The clean, chill atmosphere and genuine care from the staff make this spot feel less like a transaction and more like visiting friends who just happen to make excellent coffee.”

My favorite “coffee spot” I come here often for the lattes and the vibes! Great staff, clean and fast!
Love it here, Juan and Kat and the staff are amazing and very loving environment and The Beverages are absolutely the best in the city ......
Dirty Matcha Latte was not bad. Bacon Quiche had an overpowering cheddar cheese taste with lack of texture. Personally would not buy food again due to the lack of depth in the food. The atmosphere was very cute but I was unable to complete work here as intended as the wifi was not working and employees recommendation of moving from the bar area was ineffective. More of a spot to come and chat versus getting some work done.
This place was a chill spot with a good vibe. The owners were amazing, and the atmosphere was so pleasant. The side area had long benches and a small wall piece that branches off if you wanted some privacy to work on school or work, which was a unique touch. That's not even mentioning the food. There was a 12-minute wait for my burrito, but it was SO WORTH IT!!! It was extremely difficult to wait for it to cool down after I bit into that bubble of deliciousness! I ordered the veggie burrito and a dem latte, which has brown sugar syrup, which was also super tasty and beautiful!!! 🤩The time, effort, and care they put in shows- the latte art was so crisp and well done!!! My only disappointment was because of the prices. I didn't see any of their prices when I looked them up, but they do make all the syrups in-house, so that definitely makes a difference, too.
This is a little minimalist cafe in an interesting part of Detroit. I got the DEM latte, which was prepared with latte art, very appreciated! It was pretty good, a little foamy but pretty flavorful. I also got a chocolate chip cookie because that was the only thing they had to offer for pastries, I asked for it to be warmed up and it took over 10 minutes and it came back still pretty hard. The service was okay. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t come back but it’s a pretty nice little quiet space to get work done.
