Crema's Take

Tucked in charming Carmel-by-the-Sea, this Italian café is run by genuinely warm brothers who craft exceptional pastries and cannoli with remarkable attention to detail—one customer couldn't resist going back eight times in two days. The specialty here goes beyond coffee; it's the whole slow, convivial experience of settling into outdoor seating with a perfectly pulled espresso and a buttery pastry, where the owners remember regulars' dietary needs and treat every visitor like family.

Best Cannoli I've had in California all up and down the state. Such incredible detail and simplicity to their cream and shell. I must've had 8 in the course of two days they were so good. We also took a box of em when we left town too. I would drive from Los Angeles to Carmel just for these Cannoli again. This is a non-negotiable.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great people and great service. The brothers who run this place are all very kind — especially Andrew, who remembers my gluten intolerance and always makes sure I have gluten-free options. They were also one of the only cafés open during the holiday power outage, and their positive attitude really stood out. The gelato is delicious, and my go-to drink is the banana mocha. Highly recommend!

We stopped by Café Dal Mare after getting sandy toes at Carmel Beach — the pastries were amazing and the coffee was delicious! We’re definitely coming back!

This Italian café offers an excellent selection of pastries and ice creams. We tried the famous Pistachio Ricotta Cake, and I was taken aback by the $12 price tag for a slice. However, it was absolutely delicious - heavenly, in fact! I've never had such a flavorful cake that wasn't overly sweet. It was definitely worth it. We also had the mocha, which was just average. Service was slow and the space felt a bit cramped for the number of customers.
