Le Cafe Bakery

Crema's Take
“Just outside Boston's Chinatown, Le Cafe Bakery crafts genuinely creative drinks that go beyond the usual—think corn lattes with cream tops and matcha croissants that actually live up to the hype—paired with stellar pastries like buttery croissants and egg tarts that draw people back repeatedly. The vibe is relaxed and intimate, perfect for settling in with a friend or a book, and the staff genuinely seem to care, offering thoughtful recommendations with real warmth rather than just taking your order. It's the kind of neighborhood spot where creative ambition meets genuine hospitality, making even a casual afternoon coffee feel like a little discovery.”

I visited the bakery in the early morning. There was a ‘rude’ customer ordering $200 worth of food before me, so I had to patiently wait for quite a while. All the pastries: egg tarts and croissants look really yummy and were freshly made in front of me. I ordered 1 of each and shared them with my coworkers. They love them and said that the crust was still crunchy without having to heat up.
The waitress's service was incredible, very friendly and kind, and she gave us great recommendations. This is my second time here. If you love matcha, live near Boston, or are just spending a weekend in the area, this is a must-visit.
Le Cafe & Bakery is a smaller cafe serving up many types of pastries and drinks right outside the heart of Chinatown. We came in the afternoon and it wasn't that busy, but more people entered as time went on. There are multiple tables and charging ports, making it a good place to study and chill in the area. We got a matcha and an oolong drink. The oolong drink was pretty good, had a nice taste and wasn't overpowered by the other drinks. The matcha had a strong matcha taste and complimented the strawberry. One thing that was a bit odd was that they blended the matcha, but that was more of a shock to us and didn't change the taste or consistency. It is a great option in the area for matcha or drinks in general.
First time at Le Cafe & Bakery - variety of drinks and pastries (coffee, tea, croissant, danish, etc.) excellent customer service. I had the Matcha Croissant, Fruit Danish, and Buttered Latte - all perfect sweetness level for ones looking for sweet but not too sweet. Both the Matcha Croissant and Fruit Danish are also just the right amount of soft and crispy. I can't wait to be back to try more drinks and pastries! Thank you! :)
Perfect cafe experience! They’ve got so many creative coffee options, tried the corn latte and the cream top works so well with coffee and the corn juice. Love it! The matcha croissant is also so good. The matcha cream is just the right level of sweetness.
