Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea - Beaver Creek Cafe
15 W Thomas Pl, Vail, CO
Crema's Take
“Tucked into Beaver Creek Village at the base of the Centennial Express Lift, this espresso-focused café trades the corporate feel of its Starbucks predecessor for a genuinely local vibe that skiers and villagers alike appreciate as a perfect morning gather spot. The menu leans into craft with standout matcha lattes and thoughtful specialty drinks, plus light grab-and-go options that range from gluten-free to hearty empanadas, though consistency seems to vary with execution. It's the kind of place where you can linger over a perfectly pulled espresso or dash in before hitting the slopes, with staff who seem genuinely invested in making your visit memorable.”

⭐️ 1 star | Terrible customer service At Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea Co., a matcha latte was handed to us without a lid and spilled when my 17-year-old tried to put it on. Despite this being their mistake, we were denied a refill and forced to pay again. I ended up paying $35 for 4 matcha lattes. Zero empathy, zero accountability. Completely unacceptable.
Ordered a ham, cheese, and “crispy” bacon empanada and it was neither an empanada nor had crispy bacon. For $9 I was expecting something a bit edible. I know this is Vail so everything is so expensive, but even for Vail, this is unacceptable.
This a great little coffee shop located in Beaver Creek Village. Probably the best spot in the village to relax at for some morning time caffeine!
The most amazing experience here before we went out to ski. The staff was extremely friendly! The drinks are very good. They have a variety of choices for quick service food ranging from gluten free, vegan, and all you can imagine. I will definitely be returning. Thank you for the wonderful experience
Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea Co. is a great coffee shop located in Beaver Creek Village at the bottom of the Centennial Express Lift (it is located in the same spot where a Starbucks used to be). The staff here are very friendly and the service was fast. I ordered some lattes, mochas, hot cocoa, and chai tea, and everyone in my party enjoyed their beverage. They serve their own coffee which is delicious and the chai tea is Sherpa Chai. They also have light bites like muffins, empanadas, chocolate croissants, chocolate chip cookies, etc. and they have other beverage options in the refrigerated section. I tried the chocolate croissant and chocolate chip cookie, both were very good! They have cocktails on the menu, which I didn’t get a chance to try, but hope to on my next visit. Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea Co. is a lovely addition to the village, and it’s conveniently located to grab some coffee before exploring the mountain. I look forward to stopping by again on my next ski trip and encourage you to do the same if you’re looking to “Fuel Your Adventure”!
