Crema's Take
“This Sandy Springs spot brilliantly bridges two loves: quality coffee and dog care, making it the perfect spot to grab your espresso while your pup gets pampered by groomers who genuinely connect with anxious or shy dogs. The staff consistently earns praise for their patient, skilled handling—whether it's helping a traumatized rescue build confidence or executing that perfect summer cut—and the welcoming vibe means you'll actually want to linger over your coffee while catching up with friends and their four-legged companions. It's the rare place where both you and your dog leave happy and looking good.”

I took my 6 month old puppy here for his second ever grooming. Unfortunately his first groomer scared him badly a few months ago, but PerkNPooch did an amazing job working with him. All the staff very friendly and Dante was very helpful in getting Yogi the best care possible. Will be back!
I booked a 1pm appointment, got there 15 mins early, they took my dog and said it would take about an hour. That's odd because I have a short hair dog that just needs a bath and a nail dremmel, but you're busy, I get it. So I sit on the couch. Get told it will take actually 3 hours after I have been sitting there for an hour. My dog has been kenneled and I wasn't told. She has kennel anxiety as she was a rescue dog from a bad situation. No one told me this. There is minimal if any communication here and the prices are astronomical for horrible service. I don't blame the groomers at all, they seem kind. Whoever owns this place is in over their head.
I brought my dog here for the first time on Saturday to be groomed. He has been regularly groomed in the past, but we recently moved far away from his previous groomer. It had been about two months since his last appointment while I searched for someone new, and this shop was recommended to me. When I arrived, the front area felt very chaotic. I tried to overlook it because several dogs were coming in at once, but I did notice that no one asked for any documentation or basic intake questions—no inquiry about my dog’s temperament, energy level, or previous grooming experiences. Just, “He’s a schnauzer.” When I returned to pick him up, my dog appeared visibly distressed. The groomer greeted me with only negative feedback and no positive notes at all. I understand he was matted and would need a shorter cut, but his haircut was extremely uneven, and his eyebrows were completely removed something that has never happened before with any groomer. I was also told that he had to be muzzled. If there were any issues, I would have appreciated a call so I could’ve picked him up immediately rather than have him put through unnecessary stress. This was my first and last visit. I will not be bringing my dog back to this groomer.
I have been using Perk and Pooch for several years now and have always been happy with the service they provide, but yesterday my sweet puppy got the cutest haircut I think he’s ever gotten. I almost don’t want to share the Groomer’s name because she’ll get all booked up, but I have to give her the recognition she deserves. Sharda was so kind and gentle that Sam took right to her, and then she gave him this Hollywood level cuteness.
Rhys did a fantastic job! 2nd time bringing her here and they do great even though she’s shy. Before photo at the end.
