Crema's Take
“Mo'Bay Beignet is a genuine neighborhood gem that takes beignets seriously, offering everything from delicate minis to hearty standards alongside house-made syrups that elevate each bite in unexpected ways. The coffee here holds its own too—rich and well-crafted—making this the kind of unhurried spot where locals and travelers alike linger over both pastry and cup in an atmosphere that feels authentically welcoming rather than performative.”

Shoot, are there different types of Beignets? These were hot, but super dense. Most of the others I've had are light and a bit airy. The sauses are a nice add on, but not totally necessary.
I was driving through town and wanted to stop here to try their beignets. They sell mini versions which is cute. Also, dipping sauces. I got a bag of minis with the cinnamon syrup. They didn't taste quite fresh so I decided to eat them later after heating them up. The cinnamon dipping syrup was good. For the beignets, I didn't think they were as good as others I've had. The t-shirts they sell are cute "Pour Some Powder Sugar on Me".
Down for a visit and discovered this sweet treat place. The coffee was very good, and the beignet was great. The menu consist of different types of beignet and different types of homemade "syrups". These syrups are ridiculously fabulous and the liberal use of butter in them makes them a star attraction. I had the Mardi Gras beignet minis paired with the Mardi Gras cream cheese syrup. They were a light crispy sweet dough fried to perfection and covered in enough powdered sugar to make Tony Montana jealous! With the syrup, they were a pleasant mix of contrasting textures with complimentary flavors. Not overly sweet, but balanced enough to give the Americano I had the perfect companion. Chef's kiss to this fine establishment!
If you're looking for a beignet, this is the best place to find one! From mini beignets, to standard beignets, you can not go wrong with these! Ask for the fresh syrup ! The atmosphere feels genuine ✨️ 🙌🏾 and the setup is immaculate!! It gives a hint of that Louisiana vibe to it! Also, I wanna say shout out to the staff there for being nice and courteous to the customers (like myself) I rate this place 5 starts across the board! "I didn't Inhale" love that slogan !!! Cause you know... powered sugar.. 😆 🤣
Adorable little coffee and beignet shop on Dauphin (sp?) Street. We went mid-morning on a Wednesday before touring the battleship. Excellent beignets and very good coffee. I tried the seasonal pumpkin spice cream cheese syrup in Columbian decaf. There's a setup explaining the history of Mardi Gras on that street. Definitely walk around afterwards, several interesting murials painted on buildings and two very nice parks nearby. Nice little side trip. We felt extremely safe walking in the area, and it was exceptionally clean, especially since they'd had a festival the night before!
