Harlow's Cafe

My experience at Harlows Cafe was completely sub-par and I will not be returning here. The server took far too much time getting food to our table (which I normally don’t have a problem with) but not only was it cold, by the time it got to us, my eggs benedict had a solid yolk and my friend’s country fried steak was more of a soggy fried steak. The server also took nearly 10 minutes to refill a soda -ten minutes after she grabbed the glass from our table. As someone who works in the service industry, I haven’t encountered negligent service like this in a long time. The ambience of the restaurant was nice, but I was expecting more from a place that was proudly displaying so many awards on its wall. I recommend you check out many of the other breakfast restaurants around Tempe.

Ability to order the right thing. Always a compliment from the Mrs before asking me to share or swap for a minute. Disco knows. Got it in my head that I might be ok at it. Somehow Harlows is my kryptonite. All the food coming out the kitchen looks amazing. And the food I order is great just always somehow not what I was expecting. Placed chalk full if regulars, to me always a good sign. 3rd or fourth round I've been ann I have every intention of going back until I get it tight. Coffee and service always on point.

Harlow’s Cafe was such a vibe—honestly felt straight out of Hollywood with its classic, cool atmosphere. You just know the food is going to hit when you see a lot of older folks dining there… that’s always the best sign 😌. The food was pure soul food comfort—rich, hearty, and made with love. Definitely come hungry because the portions are no joke. We couldn’t even finish everything they gave us! I ordered the country fried steak and it was amazing—crispy on the outside, tender inside, and smothered in gravy. Great atmosphere, satisfying food, and generous portions. Harlow’s is absolutely going on my must-return list. 🍽️✨

Amazing! I heard this restaurant was good and it did not disappoint. We had Bloody Mary’s to start. So good! Not too spicy. Then we split a Three of Clubs sandwich. It was huge and so good. Crispy bacon and loaded with meat. Fries are crispy. My friend had a half order of biscuits and gravy with a side of hash browns. The service was great. The owner checked in and brought us muffins to take home. Everyone was so nice. This is what a local diner should be.
