Crema's Take
“This old-school Medford gem opens at 5 a.m. sharp, making it the perfect pre-dawn refuge for anyone craving a stellar bacon egg and cheese on a perfectly toasted bagel alongside legitimately good coffee and donuts that locals swear are among the best in the Boston area. The nostalgic diner atmosphere pairs with genuinely friendly service and refreshingly honest prices, creating the kind of place that feels less like a tourist spot and more like a well-kept neighborhood secret where regulars have made it part of their morning ritual.”

I was thrilled to find them open at 5:00 a.m. . I got a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel, it was perfect. The donuts were phenomenal. Even the coffee was good, and I'm fairly picky. The best part was the sweet woman who helped me. You could tell she put love into the food, and truly cared about making it how I wanted. Looking forward to the next time I'm in the area.
Excellent. The ambiance is spot on for an old diner, the service is just as friendly, and it was delicious!!! Sweet old fashioned donuts. Also, old fashioned prices to boot??? Incredible I wish they had some sauce or melty cheese or peppers to make the extreme sandwich more extreme, but I inhaled the sandwich all the same, and am quite happy with this gem we discovered.
Wonderful hidden gem of a place. Has the nostalgia of an old diner. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious, eggs were cooked perfect and bacon was crispy. The best part was the bagel, toasted perfect, crispy outside and soft inside. The coffee was good, with plenty of flavors. The large was huge. Overall price was reasonable as well. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made you feel like a regular.
Okay-ish donuts, good coffee, went in around noon. Not sure if that affected the doughiness. Half of the order were jelly or cream filled of some sort and the filling was only either a tablespoon amount and unevenly distributed. Dough was undercooked for those that had filling.
This place is an absolute gem. This is the type of place where locals go as part of their morning routine. I recently visited to try their donuts, and they were one of the best I had in Boston. These old school donuts were quite similar to Kane’s donuts, but much better in quality. They were extremely fluffy and airy on the inside, and the frostings and the cream had the perfect level of sweetness. Highly recommend trying them out, but make sure to bring cash and go early as possible as the donuts get sold out pretty quick.
