Crema's Take
“This intimate Atlanta spot transforms coffee into an aromatic journey with unexpected flavor combinations like salted jaggery lattes and gulab jamun preparations that feel both bold and balanced. The pastries—think cardamom buns and masala cheddar biscuits—are crafted with the same care as the espresso, creating a cohesive experience where quality ingredients and authentic spice work in harmony. It's the kind of place where the owner is often behind the bar, the space invites lingering conversations, and every visit leaves you planning your return.”

Obsessed is an understatement ☕✨ Salted jaggery latte with the dreamiest pour + a masala cheddar biscuit that was flaky, savory, and perfectly spiced 🤎 Not too sweet, and bold coffee shining through. An Indian-rooted coffee spot that feels warm, intentional, and so beautifully curated from the pastries to the art to the cozy corners. Proud, inspired and already planning my next order. 🇮🇳☕
AMAZING coffee that has such a unique flavor. I enjoyed every pastry I tried with my friends. Such a cool space! Truly delicious and I can’t wait to come back and try everything. My one gripe is that it desperately needs more seating. It’s a huge space that’s just…empty? My friends and I came to hang out and had to stand a while before something became available. There’s so much space for more two seater tables. There’s also a cute floor space. I totally get that this is cozy and cute but none of us were built to squat down.
everything is the highest quality. got the salted jag latte (favorite) and gulab jamun latte. the cardamom bun, pinwheel, and biscuit were STELLAR 100000/10. service is sweet and ambience is beautiful. clean, community-oriented. i like how you can sit in a more casual couchy space near the window or get work done at the high tables. i need to come back and buy every pastry.
I've come here a few times and always leave happy. Compared to other coffee shops, the latte's aren't overly sweet and the owner is almost always working the bar. The barista's have been incredibly kind, and they roast coffee on site. The Gulab Jumun with an extra shot has been my go-to. Not being from south Asia / India, I am certainly not an expert, but I quite like this place none the less. The Chai is also not overly sweet like you will find in almost any coffee shop in the states. The prices are also very reasonable for the area. All of the pastries are made in-house which most coffee shops don't do either. The vibe is a little bit modern and imho could use a little bit more cozy, and a little less industrial feel, but that is more of a product of the building then it is the actual coffee shop. Myself and my wife will be coming here many more times in the future. For the nay-sayers, I would honestly say talk to the shop owner. She is almost always there and is incredibly kind, and I am sure would be receptive. Better to do that then to harm a locally owned business here. Just my opinion though.
I had a couple of hours before leaving Atlanta and couldn’t miss stopping by Raani Cafe—and I’m so glad I did! The cardamom latte was absolutely authentic, aromatic, and full of flavor. I also loved their Madras kaapi, which truly hit all the right notes. The masala cheddar biscuit was yummy and really enjoyable, and the cardamom coriander bun was great as well—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. The smoked tomato curry biscuit, however, didn’t quite work for me. The jaggery chocolate chip cookie was a standout—top-notch, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. The ambience deserves a special mention: earthy, warm, and beautifully connected to its roots. Overall, a lovely spot for soulful coffee and unique treats. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Atlanta!
