Crema's Take

While Pizzeria La Rocca excels at what it does best—thin, crispy Neapolitan-style pizza with quality ingredients—this is really a neighborhood gathering spot where the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff matter as much as the food. It's the kind of place where you'll want to linger over a slow meal with friends or family, arrive late when you're craving something authentic, and maybe discover a gem like their Parma salad while you're deciding between pizzas. The casual, unpretentious vibe makes it perfect for a relaxed evening rather than a rushed meal.

Pizzeria La Rocca is a great spot for delicious, authentic pizza with a thin, crispy crust and flavorful toppings. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. Service is friendly and attentive, and the pizzas come out hot and fresh. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size. Whether you’re grabbing a classic Margherita or something with a bit more spice, La Rocca delivers solid, satisfying pizza that’s worth trying.

We ordered a caprese appetizer and two pizzas. The caprese had canned san marzanos ? I'm used to fresh tomatoes for this appetizer so that was odd. My pizza was cold which was disappointing. Hopefully if we come in again my pizza will be hot. My husband got the margarita and liked it. The pizza crust is almost like a crispy pita texture and taste so if you are looking for a more doughy crust, just not that that's not what they serve here. Not to say just not yummy, just unexpected.

They get a little busy so you’ll want to make a reservation. We really liked all the selections on the menu and settled on splitting a pizza. Be sure to check out the salad menu as the Parma salad was absolutely perfect with its zesty flavor. We really liked the pizza sauce in particular, it had a rich flavor that tied everything together. Credit to the owners for creating a really nice ambience inside and even the bathrooms were clean and sparkly new.

Visited Pizza La Rocca and tried two of their vegetarian options. Margherita Pizza:
This arrived first, and the crust immediately stood out — not in the way I expected. It’s extremely thin, crisp, and snaps apart if you try to pick it up. The staff mentioned it’s a Southern Italian style, which was interesting to learn, but the texture wasn’t my preference. Flavor-wise, it tasted similar to any local pizza chain, nothing particularly memorable. Vegetariana Pizza:
This followed the same pattern: a very thin, pita-like base with a mix of veggies on top. Unfortunately, it lacked depth of flavor and didn’t feel worth the price. Portions are on the smaller side, especially considering the higher price point. The ambience is nice, but not enough to justify the cost for me. Would I return? Probably not. It’s a 3.5/5 for me 😐

Such a great place. The pizza is so good. After a few years I finally made it a point to go back and it's as good as I remember. The staff is super friendly and helpful, you won't be disappointed.
