Crema's Take
“Tucked into Fort Thomas, this bookstore-café hybrid is an espresso lover's cozy sanctuary, where thoughtfully crafted specialty drinks pair perfectly with curated books and intimate nooks warmed by multiple fireplaces. The owner's genuine hospitality shines through in every detail—from the whimsical "Narnia" entrance that delights children to the rich, artistic design that makes two hours disappear without notice. Whether you're meeting friends for conversation or settling in with a perfectly pulled shot and a novel, this hidden gem feels less like a coffee stop and more like discovering your new favorite gathering place.”

My friends and I met to get drinks, discuss books, and browse the selection. We had a great time and hope to visit again soon! Service at the coffee bar was friendly and gave recommendations for our next visit. We met in a back room (thriller section) and looked at all the books we recommend or had interest in. There’s a good mix of used at great prices and new (including some beautiful special editions or books with sprayed edges). However, because of this, there would be certain books from a series but not all of them. The shop is cozy and includes a lot of book adjacent things, like dice and accessories. We came on a Sunday morning and there was plenty of street parking in the area.
This place is absolutely adorable 😍 So many little nooks with multiple cozy fake fireplaces/heaters to snuggle up to. Super cute art, furniture, and attention to detail. The service was also great. I got a pride and pollen latte which was delish! Great book selection as well. I'd love to come back sometime in the evening for the bar experience.
I’m so thrilled I found this hidden gem!!! We came for coffee but stayed two hours because of the atmosphere and vibe! They had a great selection of very reasonable books. The Espresso drinks were fabulous!
As an aspiring bookstore-cafe owner, I always look for unique bookstores to visit when I travel. I absolutely love the look and vibe of the Hidden Chapter! The rich, dark colors, the art, furniture, the whole feel of the space! I love that everything ties into one main theme - from books to decor! The ambient music, the fireplaces, the seating… i really loved the authentic, old world aesthetic. it made my book loving heart truly happy and has definitely inspired me! I shall return!
What a beautiful place! We were welcomed by the owner. He walked out little boy through his "Narnia" entrance toy he little cafe he has built right by the bookstore. He was so kind, shared a bit of his story with us and showed us around. The decor is so elegant, all the details were beautiful, I tried taking photos but they did not do any justice! If you are a Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, or Narnia fan, you'll love it in there! No screens, people playing games, friendly staff and a great scape from the digital world! They had about every boardgame I have played! The games were grouped by age! They have a cozy corner for the kiddos with their own books. The cafe had great drink and treat options! I don't know how I randomly found this place but I'm so glad we got to drop by during our last family adventure in Cinci.
