Ruby’s New York Style Bagels - Carolina Park

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ruby’s Bagels is hands down one of the best bagel shops around. The bagels and coffee are great, but what really keeps me coming back is the incredible staff. Austin is fantastically friendly and makes an excellent cup of coffee every time. Lexi is always so sweet and attentive, and Heather can truly brighten anyone’s day. Every time you walk in, she greets you with a big smile and such genuine kindness. The whole team creates such a welcoming atmosphere. It honestly feels like the “Cheers” of bagel shops where everyone is happy to see you and you feel like a regular. Their coffee is fantastic — my go-to is the mocha, but I love trying their seasonal and specialty drinks too. They also offer gluten-free bagels, which my children love, and that’s a huge plus for our family. If you’re in the Carolina Park area, this place is an absolute must-visit. Great bagels. Although we stopped in one time around 1 and they close at 2 they still had a good selection. I had an egg and cheese on a plain and it was very filling. Wife had an onion w cream cheese and said it is as good as up north. Great service. Great product.

Very tasty bagels, they are chewy and delicious. Had the egg and cheese and thought it was a tad expensive. That's why I gave four stars because the food was great, very friendly staff and it was clean; however, its pricey.

I have been wanting to go here and I am wondering 🤔 why it took me so long to get here. I was immediately greeted and the staff was super friendly. It was clean, inviting, and honestly, I wish I could have had my meal there because of the great vibe it has. I also wanted to try one of their drinks. I just knew I had to get a bagel and quick! There was plenty of seating and it looked like a place where people like to come and be "like regulars". The best part?? I took it home and had to wait about 15 minutes before I could eat it and it was still warm!!! That is not something I could say about other breakfast establishments nearby..even when I eat there in person!! 🤦‍♀️ I am most definitely coming back. I had the egg and cheese bagel🥯 It is the food that dreams are made of and was creamy, cheesey deliciousness. Next time I'm going big and getting the Lox and Bagel. If you aren't in that, no worries, they have a wide array of choices available.

This location of Ruby's really got the nicest interior compared to the North Charleston and West Ashley locations. There is a nice covered outdoor seating area, lots of interior seating complete with a cozy corner of leather chair seating. This location lends to longer sitting vs grab and go. The staff was friendly and patient while managing the long line of patrons (10 people) efficiently. Everything was bussed and cleaned in a timely manner. The bagel sandwich was delicious until I felt the crunch! My heart sank a bit, there was a chunk of egg shells. I love that Ruby's uses fresh ingredients but double checking the cracked egg bowl to ensure no egg shells is preferred. I think it's a fluke and will be fixed in the future. It won't stop us from returning for our favorite bagels in town.
