Went in to buy a last minute bday cake and chose the chocolate caramel pecan. In short, it was an absolute hit, everyone loved it! Not only was the cake beautiful to look at (people hesitated to cut a slice because it looked so nice), but it was delicious! It was perfectly balanced in buttercream to cake to caramel pecan filling. Each element was scrumptious on its own, and combined was cake perfection! Along with the cake, the kouign amann and the oatmeal and golden raisin cookie will be something I get any time I can make it to this bakery.

Ordered a 6 inch triple chocolate mousse cake for my husband’s birthday. There was a slight mess-up with finding my order at pick-up but was quickly resolved. Cake is any chocolate lover’s dream but we wished it had more cake vs icing/filling..seems like smaller cakes have a thin layer of cake only. Also tried their almond croissants and tomato sariette pastry which was a delicious and crispy savory treat for a late breakfast!

Updated September 2024. Repeat visit! We were not so in love with what we chose this time though. Tried the ham and cheese croissant, but it was more like a spiral pastry than a croissant and I wasn’t into the sesame seed topping. Also tried the cranberry walnut bread which was ok but not a repeat buy. ————————————- We tried the Black Pepper Gruyere bread which was good but I wish it had a stronger gruyere taste. Since we love sourdough bread, we also got their Pain de Campagne which was good too. As for their pastries, I love ginger scone so I just had to try their version and it was delicious! Their specialty croissant which had chocolate, almond cream and raspberry jam was a good combo of those flavors. Overall, we'll definitely pass by here anytime we're in the Alameda area!

Nice little bakery with great prices for their breads and other items. We were a bit late in the day so many of the daily specials were sold out. I got a cinnamon roll, sticky bun bread pudding, and a pumpkin muffin. The pumpkin muffin had no wheat and since it could come into contact with wheat it wasn’t labeled gluten free. I liked the orange icing on the cinnamon roll but would have liked more cinnamon in the roll. My favorite was the sticky bun bread pudding! I ate half of it cold and the other half microwaved and loved it both ways. I wish that there was a table or two inside.
