Daydreamer Coffee

Great coffee place with sunfaced terrace in front and large seating inside. Staff was super friendly and gave us a personal approach. Try the banana muffin, it's marvelous. Would strongly recommend eating at this place.

Rating: 4.3/5 [take out] Love the aesthetics of this coffee shop. It has a cozy boho desert vibe, and the coffee bar looks like it could easily turn into a wine bar at night. The seating setup feels thoughtfully designed with a bright café area in the front and more intimate couch seating in the back. They were celebrating what seemed to be their grand opening, offering 50% off all drinks from November 7 to 9. The place was packed but was less busy on Sunday. The line to order wasn't bad, though the wait for drinks was about 20 minutes. We tried both their matcha and coffee, and their coffee was definitely the standout. Iced 16 oz Mindful Matcha ($7.25) + Extra Sweet ($0.50): It sounded better than it tasted. The matcha was a very light green with barely any flavor, and the strawberry syrup didn't pair well with it. The coconut milk also didn't suit the drink, and I think oat milk would have been a better choice. It wasn't particularly sweet either, even with the upcharge. We came back and ordered it again, asking them to swap the coconut milk for oat milk, which was a total game changer. The drink was well balanced, the strawberry syrup tasted better, and the little strawberry seeds added a nice bit of texture. The sweetness level was just right. That said, the matcha flavor isn't very strong, so matcha fiends might find it underwhelming. Iced 16 oz Blueberry Dream ($7) + Coconut Milk ($1): My friend found this one too sweet. Iced 16 oz Cookie Butter Latte ($7.25) + Oat Milk ($1): This was easily my favorite! The cookie crumble on top of the cold foam added a nice texture, and the cookie butter syrup balanced the coffee perfectly. It was delicious regardless of when you drink it.

Daydreamer is an oasis of peace, rest, community, and great coffee! I find myself here first thing on Saturday and Sunday mornings where I’m able to sit outside, enjoy a book, drink great coffee, and meet tons of great local Rainey street residents and visitors. In the early morning, Rainey street feels like a magical mix of an intimate neighborhood (with people walking their dogs up and down the street, morning joggers, and visitors just getting in a morning walk) and bustling center of food, fun, culture, and “big city life”. Oh, and one of the best perks: dog friendly! Daydreamer is the perfect addition to the neighborhood! Come see for yourself!

Greattttt coffee shop, it has all the criteria I look for in a coworking coffee shop, multiple comfy seating areas (quieter option upstairs), actually good coffee, good WiFi and an AMAZING staff. The one detail is there aren’t a lot of power outlets. Only street parking. Overall 10/10. I got the honey graham coffee, delishh, can’t wait to visit again!

As Rainey Street residents, we were really excited to try Daydreamer. It was a great experience- really unique and delicious drinks. Vibe is really cool as well.
