Crema's Take

This cherished neighborhood spot in Grand Rapids has earned its loyal following by striking that perfect balance between being a serious coffee destination and a genuinely welcoming gathering place where you can linger for hours with your laptop or catch up with friends. Beyond their well-executed traditional espresso drinks, they've thoughtfully expanded into specialty creations and matcha preparations that feel equally considered, all paired with fresh pastries and light food that actually complement your beverage rather than feel like an afterthought. The whole vibe suggests a team that understands coffee culture but never takes itself too seriously—the kind of place where regulars have their orders memorized and newcomers immediately feel at home.

What to expect

Strong matcha and tea selection. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly spot, good for meetings. Pastries and light food on the menu.

Order a couple of sandwiches. My 10 dollar pretzel ham and cheese had one thin piece of ham on it could not even taste the ham. Hash browns were undercooked and soggy. Two stars for the delicious smoothie though. Overall very disappointing will probably not be back.
