Crema's Take

Nestled in Tarkington Park, this cafe is a beloved community gathering spot where perfectly brewed specialty teas are matched with thoughtfully made light fare like fresh waffles and quality sandwiches. Regulars rave about the inviting atmosphere that equally welcomes remote workers tackling emails and friends catching up over matcha, making it the kind of place where you can linger as long as you'd like.

This place is a hidden gem! I stopped by to grab some tea while I sat in a remote meeting but next time I will bring my appetite!! The tea was brewed perfectly and everything about the tea service had me thinking of so many memories of my mother and of my bff’s Jamaican mother always making me tea when I would visit! This place is great to bring friends. To stop for remote meetings. For studying. Definitely a girls day out must stop! So excited to stop in and sample the food. And they even have a tea rewards punch card! In case you want to make this small town mom and pop your major stop and support the community!! Much love and support - I can’t wait to see you again. Xoxo! -M

Visiting Indianapolis for the first time my wife and I were looking for a place with tasty sandwiches for lunch. We were pleased with our choice. I had a chicken pesto on wheat and my wife had a grilled cheese on croissant. Both were delicious. We enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and would come back!

Tea’s Me Café at Tarkington Park is one of my favorite community spots in the city. The location inside the park makes it a perfect place to grab lunch, connect with neighbors, or just take a break. The space is fun, artful, and thoughtfully designed for community use—it regularly hosts meetings, events, and can even be rented after hours. The café reflects everything I admire about Tamika Catchings. Her personality, passion, and humility are everywhere in this place. You might even see her behind the counter or chatting with guests—she truly leads by example. The menu is small but has great healthy and vegan-friendly options. I had the Chicken, Bacon & Ranch sandwich with a spinach salad—really good! I’ll be back to try the carrot cake I keep hearing about. I work at the MLK Center just across the street, so my team and I stop by often. We’ve been lucky to collaborate with Tamika over the years, and I’ve been a fan of hers since her WNBA days. Tea’s Me is more than a café—it’s a true part of the community.

I am in love. This place is my new hangout spot for sweets and Tea. These Waffles are the bomb don’t need syrup. The fruit is fresh. The eegs with the spinach the truth and pepper jack cheese and turkey sausage. The Tea Japanese Cherry and medium honey. I’m in love. Don’t forget the carrot cake. And I got the warmer. Wanted a Tea pot. My Boss bought the last one… Extravagant…

I hosted my first Book Launch/Networking Party at Tea’s Me Community Cafe FOR my new book, " Suddenly Single: Surviving the Demise of Your Relationship ". I can't say ENOUGH GOOD THINGS about this Cafe and it's staff. The tea is amazing, the food was amazing & customer service was excellent as Ms. Wanda and her staff paid attention to our every needs and even added a few extra goodies for our party. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND any and EVERYONE to patronize this cozy Cafe.
