Port Center Cafe
601 S Morgan St, Chicago, IL
Crema's Take
“Port Center Cafe is a bustling campus hub near UIC's University Hall where you'll find genuinely warm staff (regulars rave about Bryan) and reliable coffee that rises above typical college cafe standards, though pricing has crept up under new management. The vibe skews loud and social rather than contemplative, making it ideal for meeting friends or grabbing a quick pastry between classes, but less suited for focused work or quiet studying.”

New management made everything so expensive. They are reselling Costco bread pastries for $6 each . Sandwiches $8 . Coffee is bland . Just go to the student center
VERY FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING THE CASHIER ALWAYS THE YOUNG MAN BRYAN.
Great place for a quick cup of coffee or pastry--especially if you work in UIC's University Hall. Competent and friendly staff.
The food and drinks are good. Because it is a college place it is way too loud . if you want to read or go over materials..this is the wrong place for you.
On the more expensive side but has good food, and better coffee then most other shops
