Crema's Take

Tucked inside the DCC/CII building at RPI, this cafe has become the go-to spot for students darting between classes, thanks to quick service (usually 5 minutes or less) and genuinely warm staff who seem to actually care. While they stick largely to Starbucks coffee and familiar cafe fare, it's the convenient location and no-fuss breakfast offerings that make it feel less like a corporate chain and more like an essential campus refuge. It's the kind of place where you can grab a solid coffee and light bite, settle in with your laptop, and actually feel like you belong there.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A laptop-friendly, quick-grab spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast and light food on the menu. Wifi.

Staff isn't the nicest and they have gotten orders wrong several times. Only benefit to them is that they take flex and you can easily stop by between classes. Coffee is mediocre at best.

DCC cafe is conveniently located in the DCC/CII building for RPI students and staff. Great coffee and light breakfast. The menu is very similar to Starbucks

It’s basically a Starbucks, so they sell most of the same things as a Starbucks. However, they’re not the exact same as a Starbucks, so you won’t get free water like you would at an actual Starbucks. But if you’re paying it’s basically the same as a real Starbucks.

I like stopping here between class breaks to get breakfast if I had a late morning. Food is prepared quickly (usually within 5 minutes of ordering), the wait time is usually short, the coffee is good, and service is friendly. Also, the Cafe is located within a college building,…

Very epic place to stop at in-between classes. The coffee is decent, and they serve Starbucks coffee so there's that for you Starbucks nerds. They also serve other general drinks like water and soda. Feel free to buy snacks and have some pasteries, they're usually okay. The…
