Double D's Coffee & Desserts
41 Biltmore Ave, Asheville, NC
Crema's Take
“This charming coffee shop operates out of an actual vintage double-decker bus, making it one of Asheville's most unmissable quirky experiences—the bus itself is as much the draw as the carefully crafted beverages. Beyond the novelty, they deliver genuinely excellent specialty drinks like their lavender honey iced lattes alongside solid traditional coffee and creative matcha options, paired with quality pastries and a welcoming outdoor seating area that invites lingering. Just come prepared with cash and an appreciation for the kind of eccentric, character-filled spot that makes Asheville special.”

Very unique, eclectic coffee shop in a double decker bus! They had a fantastic variety of coffee, tea and beverage options, some yummy bakery confections, cool stickers and souvenirs. I love the outside seating area and decor. Reasonably priced! I had the Asheville chai and it was delicious!
The fall/spooky Halloween decorations are on point for this coffee served out of a double Decker. Everything is cash only so keep that in mind, there are some ATMs around the corner. We showed up right as they opened and there was already a line down to the corner to order. Lines move a bit slow but once you get to the front service is quick. Some tables to eat/ wait and overall a fun little experience
This was a must stop coffee shop for me because when do you ever get to get coffee from a double decker bus! The coffee was great I got the lavender honey iced latte I think it was called. It was freezing outside so we waited inside their small waiting area and it was really cool to see how they made the inside into a coffee shop. We did not get any baked goods but they looked delicious. The bus and the outer seating area was decorated adorably for Christmas.
Visiting this place is a nice experience while in Asheville. Its an old bus turned coffee shop. There's seating outside the bus. They have some good varieties of coffee and taste is pretty good too. Only thing is since just one person is preparing the wait time depending on when you visit during the day could be tiring. Seems a little pricey but you pay for the experience I guess.
Double D's is easily one of the most unique stops in Asheville. The star of the show is, without a doubt, the incredible vintage double-decker bus. It’s a genuine piece of history that adds a delightful splash of London charm right in the middle of the city. The restoration is clearly a labor of love, making the experience feel both nostalgic and entirely special. Stepping onto the bus is a fantastic novelty—especially the seating area on the top deck, which gives you a prime perch for watching the activity on Biltmore Avenue. It's a superb example of how a creative concept can become a local landmark.
