Bearcat (CBD) location is busy & worth your visit! The breakfast menu is extensive and filled with flavor. I ordered the steak and eggs - I requested soft scrambled and received well done, but the flavor was good. The steak was just OK but not disappointing. The side of home fries were a bit spicier than I prefer. My boyfriend ordered the scallop & grits, which was a highlight. I was stopping myself from eating off his plate every couple of minutes. I don’t think the drinks were worth it (we tried two different ones - a coffee cocktail and another). Both left much to be desired.

RUN don't walk to BearCat!! We found this place when looking for a vegan-friendly restaurant, and they had such high reviews that we were happy to put ourselves on the waitlist and waited over an hour for a table. Please don't let that deter you - I'm not a line person, but trust me, that it was worth the wait - so much that we went back the following day because we couldn't stop thinking about the previous day's brunch. I desperately wish we had a BearCat in Chicago!!! We loved everything we got but in particular I loved the vegan ranchero dish, and their vegan queso. Definitely worth a stop whether you're a local or visiting town!

12/10 experience. Could not sing higher praise for Bearcat. Wait staff was extremely nice, helping us with recommendations, food selection and drink selection was perfect, and the food itself was phenomenal. Their attention to detail was outstanding - each of the mugs were handmade with a little bearcat on each of them. The plates also looked handmade and matched the aesthetic. Also, just a cute design all around. Recommend sitting outside on a nice day - we wish we did!!

Let me tell you something! If you’re looking for a true Cajun breakfast with a great atmosphere, this is the place to be. I met two of my friends for brunch on Sunday, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite of the food. We started with some flavorful crab claws, though I wish there was more butter in the sauce to dip them in. Overall, I’d give them an eight out of ten. One of my friends had the shrimp bowl, which was delicious. The tomatoes, mushrooms, and other ingredients were all in season and very flavorful. I initially had the soft crab, but it was a bit too oily for me, so I returned it and got the shrimp bowl instead. My other friend had scallops and grits, which were cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed some French 75s and mimosas during a great time. The staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating. Although there was a slight wait, it was definitely worth it. I’ll definitely be returning when I come back. I highly recommend this place.

Bearcat CBD serves absolutely delicious food — I genuinely didn’t have a single complaint about any of the dishes I tried. It was one of the better brunches I’ve had in my life. That said, the atmosphere and service left a bit to be desired. The restaurant is very casual, bright, and energetic, but it can feel cramped and extremely loud, especially as it gets busy. The service wasn’t particularly attentive; for example, napkins had to be requested more than once, and our latte took a long time to arrive. We arrived around 8:45 a.m. on a Sunday and were lucky to get a table immediately. Shortly after, a line formed out the door. If we had had to wait, I might have found the experience frustrating. Overall, the food is excellent, but the combination of slow service, limited space, and the potential wait makes it a spot I probably wouldn’t return to regularly. Still, for a brunch lover who gets there early, it’s definitely worth trying.
