Three Whistles - Clarendon
2719 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA
Crema's Take
“This espresso-focused spot in Clarendon has mastered the art of being both a serious coffee destination and a genuine community hub, with a welcoming energy that keeps regulars coming back. Their signature creative drinks and thoughtful pastry program (the crepe cheesecake with extra strawberry sauce is a must-try) pair perfectly with a space that's equally suited for solo laptop sessions or lingering over conversation with friends. The team, led by owner Samir, clearly takes pride in making everyone feel at home the moment you walk in—whether you're a coffee enthusiast diving into their espresso offerings or just looking for a laid-back spot with solid WiFi and great vibes.”

I had a wonderful experience thanks to Tyreke and Chef Sameer. I really enjoyed the Three Whistles Sliders and crepe cheesecake (ask for more strawberry sauce).
A lovely place to work for an afternoon! There is limited seating for non-membership space, but I came with a fully-charged laptop and found a high top. The WiFi was great for me, but if you need streaming or any high-intensity internet functions, it may not be good for you. The staff were also friendly and the drinks were delicious! I’ve also tried out Three Whistles at night for some relaxing and reading. The vibes are immaculate and the food is delicious. I tried their banana Nutella crepe, and it was perfectly balanced. I’ve never had a bad coffee or drink, and the staff is so kind and talented.
Had an outstanding experience at Three Whistles! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming, energetic, and just the right mix of relaxed and elevated. The atmosphere makes it a perfect spot whether you’re going out with friends or having a nice dinner out. The food was phenomenal — every dish was flavorful, fresh, and clearly crafted with care. Huge compliments to Chef Sameer for putting together such a strong menu. You can taste the attention to detail. Service was equally impressive. Tyreke took great care of us — attentive, friendly, and genuinely engaging. Finding out that Chef Sameer and Tyreke are brothers made the experience even better. You can really feel the family pride and teamwork throughout the restaurant. Great vibes, great service, and great food. We’ll absolutely be back. Highly recommend!
I’m new to the area and just started coming to Three Whistles, and I couldn’t be happier. The service and ambiance are great, and I always feel welcome the moment I step inside. Samir, the owner, is incredibly kind and welcoming, and the service is exceptional from start to finish. Five stars! This will definitely be my new spot! I recommend the buffalo chicken slider, Brussels sprouts, and caesar salad.
Not sure how to rate my past experiences with Three Whistles but it shouldnt discourage you either. The first time around we were in search for some good coffee in the area. We tried their vanilla lattes with soy and oat milks, it was just average. We did however, enjoyed the big work space and free wifi! The second time we visited it was for some dessert. We tried their gelato and it tasted pretty fresh! So def try if youre in the area!
