Crema's Take

Michael's is a charming vintage-inspired diner that doubles as a love letter to Old Hollywood, with a Marilyn Monroe-themed atmosphere that feels both kitschy and genuinely welcoming. The real magic happens in the kitchen, where everything from scratch-made biscuits and gravy to fresh salads arrives with care—this isn't a place cutting corners with packet mixes or frozen components. Whether you're grabbing breakfast to go or settling in for a leisurely meal, the combo of attentive service, quality comfort food, and nostalgic Palm Springs charm keeps locals and visitors coming back.

Oh. MY. GAAAAWWDDDDD. Your biscuits and gravy are so good. The flavor, consistency, the chunks of breakfast meats it contains. It's fresh in house made not from a packet. I always grab to go so I can't speak on dining experience but the fact that every time I go to grab my Biscuits and Gravy or whatever omelet I'm feeling that day the restaurant is booming never empty says something. It says they're doing everything right. There's outdoor seating which I opted for the serenity because it's booming inside as a proper popular diner should be. Keep it up.

Absolutely! I will come back here every time I visit Palm Springs! In fact I will come back for this salad! A trio of all my favorite types: chicken and tuna and cottage cheese ! A real California health punch circa 1969! This restaurant is so fun. I absolutely love the ambience and the decor. Places like this keep Palm Springs wacky and why I love it so much.

Wonderful dining spot with good food. Staff friendly and nice. Very Marilyn Monroe-centric atmosphere and a great story about the original owners passion with local support for an amazing actress of her time. It was refreshing to be able to enjoy our meal without loud music playing and could have a conversation at our table. We enjoyed French toast, omelette’s and turkey burger for our table. The hostess were very personable and kind. Definitely will return again when in the area.

Very nice small diner with a cozy feel. Very, VERY Marilyn and tasteful. Service was quick and the food was on point. Only down side is VERY difficult wheelchair access. Other than that, very great place to grab some quick and hearty breakfast or brunch. Thank you for being such a lovely establishment.

Talk about service….. this place has it along with great food, had the JD special, two scrambled eggs, sausage paddy both over a biscuit and smothered with gravy. Speaking of gravy, some of the best I’ve ever had, no joke. Wife had the Turkey Club and you can see, both will send you home smiling and full. Wonderful atmosphere with plenty of nostalgic photos. Want service out of this world and amazing food, this is your stop in Palm Sringa!
