Wishing Cup
45 Court St, Boston, MA
Crema's Take
“Wishing Cup has carved out a devoted following in downtown Boston by mastering both coffee and something unexpected: an genuinely exceptional matcha program that rivals their espresso drinks. The breakfast sandwiches and creative pastries (think truffle offerings) are clearly worth the premium pricing, and with abundant seating and a relaxed vibe, it's become the rare cafe that works equally well for serious work sessions or lingering over a strawberry matcha with friends. The staff and experience keep people coming back regularly despite occasional service inconsistencies, suggesting the quality of the food and drink speak louder than anything else.”

the food was phenomenal best breakfast sandwich i’ve ever had. The matcha??? even better. Honestly, i’ve never been to such a good cafe like this one. 10/10 would recommend and if i’m ever in Boston again I will be coming back.
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! I am not from Boston, but when I visit I have made it a habit to stop at Wishing Cup. Their food is incredible and totally worth the price! The staff could be a little friendlier, but other than that the decor is amazing. I totally recommend their air matcha and the avocado toast. Best avocado toast I have had!!! Genuinely so worth your time to go grab a bite to eat or coffee. Each drink comes with a little piece of a dessert.
This has been one of my favourite places to get coffee and matcha in Boston!! The service is always great and they have great sandwiches too. Would heavily recommend the Einspanner and the Truffle Passion Sandwich.
Wishing Cup is a newer cafe located in the heart of Boston's downtown, with a lot of seating and a wide range of offerings. We arrived there around 10 AM, and it was already packed and no seats were available. We tried the air matcha, it came with a free brownie which was good and a nice addition. We also tried an air matcha, which was alright. It did water down quickly, but it had a good matcha taste and the foam on top went well. We also got a croissant, which was good toasted and was a solid croissant option.
This place might be my favorite cafe in Boston. The strawberry Matcha and Caprese sandwich is genuinely so good I already know I’ll be back in a few days. Such an amazing place to do work too! The workers were so nice as well 🙂 10/10 recommend.
