Got the banana milk latte and it was so good, not too sweet. The match is 10/10 it's a real matcha!! The croissant are amazing and the chocolate chip cookies are some of the best I've ever had.

They make very good espresso, though perhaps not quite as good as my few favorite places in town. I typically go here because it's open later than most other coffee shops. One little beef I have with them is that they have clearly gone out of their way to train their staff to tell people that they make their macchiatos "traditional", I'm assuming for people who think a macchiato is a big, sweet drink like they serve at Starbucks. But a traditional macchiato doesn't have 1 oz of milk like they serve here - it has just a dollup of milk foam. So if you actually expect a traditional macchiato, you won't get that unless you ask. They should probably rethink that language!

I’m new to the area and decided to stop by and do some work on my laptop. The staff were very friendly, the matcha was strong and flavorful, and the croissants were delicious! I tried the banana pudding one (yes! A banana pudding croissant 😬) and will definitely be back.

I’ve been here multiple times, the coffee is good, and the pastries are great. But I was really disappointed this morning. I ordered a strawberry matcha that had no strawberry at all, tasted extremely sweet, and was so diluted and artificial that I had to throw it away. It was nothing like what’s shown or their instagram page. When I asked, the staff explained they now only use syrup instead of real strawberries. I really wish this had been mentioned when ordering it felt misleading, and I would’ve chosen something else.

Bean by Bardea is a great spot for a quality coffee in DE.CO. They serve Illy coffee, and the cappuccino was smooth and well-balanced. If you like caramel, their Koji Caramel Cappuccino has a nice twist—sweet with a hint of umami. The pastries are worth the stop alone, as the pasty chef from Bardea makes them. Definitely get the Almond Croissant! It's flaky, buttery, and HUGE. It had just the right amount of almond filling. The mini Strawberry Cheesecake was rich and creamy with a perfectly crisp graham cracker crust. There's some great looking breakfast sandwiches too. The service is just as amazing as the food. Special shoutout to Cait, who made one of the best cappuccinos we’ve ever had! The warm and friendly atmosphere, plenty of seating, and natural light make DE.CO a great spot to relax, grab a bite, or even get some work done. Hours vary, so check before you go, but having this coffee shop inside DE.CO and connected to Hotel Du Pont is one of the best perks of staying there!
