Crema's Take
“Nestled in Hyannis, Mayflour Bakery & Cafe is a bright, welcoming spot where freshly baked pastries and generously portioned treats are clearly the main event—think oversized empanadas and an ever-changing array of both sweet and savory options that keep locals coming back. The space feels designed for lingering, whether you're catching up with friends over traditional coffee drinks or settling in for a full breakfast, and the staff genuinely seems to enjoy walking you through what's fresh that day. It's the kind of neighborhood bakery that manages to feel both special and unpretentious, where you'll likely leave with more than you planned to buy.”

Apparently Americans are not welcome here. I speak English so the girl kept rolling her eyes at me and seemed very annoyed. I asked for a cup of Hot water, the coffee machine was right behind her but she went out back with my cup. It wasn’t even warm and tasted disgusting, wondering if she gave me toilet water or what and charged me $6. I don’t really trust them after this, or appreciate the attitude because I don’t speak Brazilian/Portuguese.
This is a great little bakery with great products. Generous serving size and great tasting treats. I apologize for not knowing the names of the food. In the pictures below are an incredibly flavorful chicken sandwich, cut open is a fresh strawberry in a gel in a chocolate candy shell. a coconut cream pastry, and a carrot cake with chocolate icing and the display case. The delight eating was not only flavor, but texture was amazing as well.
Mayflour Bakery & Café did not disappoint! You are greeted the second you walk in. This clean, spacious spot has an array of sweet and savory pastries. You can't help but leave with something. I decided to dine in for breakfast. I ordered their passion fruit juice and their "Sunshine Day" which is ham, egg and cheese on grilled French bread. Everything was terrific! I will be back to try more things off their menu!
I would give this place my money any day of the week. The girls there are so sweet explaining all the different pastries and desserts. The empanadas are twice as big as we expected, absolutely amazing, and hamburgers and paninis were fantastic! We ordered a birthday cake here and it did not disappoint. Everything here is so top notch, the flavors are incredible!
We came here to get a cake for my daughter’s birthday and we ordered food for lunch. Everything is amazing! We got a new noodle dish that was so good. Then we got the bacon cheeseburger, panini, and empanadas! The cake was divine! We even came a couple nights ago to try some treats before getting the cake everything we have bought 5+++++ stars! They are so kind and helpful. The food so good!
