Crema's Take
“Fig Tree Cafe is a beloved local breakfast institution in Hyannis where the coffee flows generously (refills included!) and the kitchen handles dietary restrictions with genuine care and attention. The warm, inviting atmosphere draws both tourists and regulars who come for reliably delicious food at fair prices, friendly staff who seem genuinely happy to be there, and that rare quality of feeling like you've stumbled onto a place that actually cares about making your morning special.”

My husband and I stopped by Fig Tree Cafe and had such a great experience. As someone with food allergies, I’m always a little nervous trying new places, but they were incredibly accommodating. I also really appreciated that the vegan options were reasonably priced, which isn’t always the case. My husband ordered a breakfast burrito with meat, eggs, and cheese and loved it. I was able to enjoy a vegan option without feeling like I was paying a premium, which was a nice surprise. The food was delicious, the portions were great, and overall it was very reasonably priced for two people going out to breakfast. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were extremely friendly. You can tell it’s the kind of place that’s been part of the community for a long time. If you’re vegan or have dietary restrictions, this is a great spot because they have plenty of options. But even if you’re not vegan, it’s still a fantastic place to grab a quick, tasty breakfast. We’ll definitely be coming back.
Cute little breakfast spot! One of those places you can tell is popular with the locals and tourists. The food is good (and cheap) the coffee is wonderful. Nice happy servers just bouncing around being cheery during a morning meal. Would highly recommend it, though I can see it being a place that has long waits, so just be prepared for that.
Having read all impressive reviews, we definitely wanted to try this place out and went there for breakfast. Ordered benny eggs - with the side of bacon (it was not included), where eggs were perfectly pouched - no complaints - but something off was with the hollandaise sauce…the breakfast worked out ok, however it lacked that wow factor or something special that I expected based on reviews - this turned out to be a pricey breakfast with cold home fries (55 for two excluding tips), however the plates looked great! Also it was noticeable that the servers were very much preoccupied to save the table arrangements and use only those tables with menus on them during the peak time for breakfast…
Absolutely love this place! The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff and the owner are incredibly welcoming and friendly, which makes the experience even better. It can get busy at times, but that’s just the price you pay for wanting to eat at a truly great spot. Highly recommend!
This is one of the cutest breakfast places! Every time we’ve gone, the food has been reliably good and the service has been great. I love that the hot coffee is diner style, so they’ll keep refilling it if you want them too. Also love that they support local artists! They had a whole wall of art from a local artist that was available for purchase. Really adds to the sweet atmosphere that they’ve created here. And makes an extra special souvenir option for those visiting the Cape!
