Crema's Take

Tucked into a cozy nook of Eastlake, FRAM is a locally owned community hub where the baristas genuinely care about their craft—think creatively layered drinks like their seasonal "Dirty Matcha" alongside meticulously pulled espresso shots. The welcoming, colorful space doubles as a gathering spot for lingering conversations (or quick grabs during their happy hour from 3-5pm), complete with games, a chill vibe, and a dog-friendly patio that makes it feel less like a coffee shop and more like a neighborhood living room.

Wonderful community cafe thats tucked away in a charming little corner of Eastlake. 5 stars because they are putting in the hard work. Locally owned, locally operated, and community focused. They put in the effort to bring people together with fun little events AND by being a coffee shop that stays open long enough to enjoy a comfy happy hour on their outside seating. What they do well: Community. What they struggle with (Sometimes): Espresso. I know it seems crazy to give 5 stars and then be critical of their espresso. But its just the way it is. I believe they use Lighthouse Roasters (local to seattle) and I don't know if its the roast, the beans, or the machine. But the espresso can be subpar on occasion. But still worth the visit.

I’m sure this place is great for coffee, but the matcha was so bad. Basically sweet milk with a faint taste of matcha. I was so disappointed because the photos from other reviews looked so good. Barista was super nice, but not a good spot if you’re looking for matcha 😔

FRAM is a newish cafe in Eastlake. It is a bit off the beaten path as it is located in a nook size space of a modern apartment building, a block down from Eastlake Avenue East which is the main road in the area. It seems more of a spot that appeals more to residents that live nearby. There is heavy road construction in Eastlake, which makes it it challenging to reach the cafe. Walking down the steps at Fairview Park and reaching the cafe by walking on Fairview Avenue East would be my recommended route if you are coming from outside the area. The cafe offers coffee, beer, wine, froze and grab & go food items. It also has a happy hour from 3-5 pm daily. Stopped by one morning for a latte and a pastry. The coffee prices were reasonable and they have Seawolf Bakery pastries here. Service was friendly and I was in and out in good time despite the morning rush. There is limited seating in the cafe, with a couple tables and bar seating. There is some additional seating outside the cafe which is great for the summer when the weather is good. You could also head over to nearby Fairview Park which has a great view of Lake Union.

Tis the season🎃 This “Dirty Matcha” as Mira would call is pumpkin spice and matcha with a shot of espresso. The atmosphere was really welcoming and colorful and it’s nice to see the coffee machines in the back so it’s no surprise why the coffee is excellent. If you’re passing through in Eastlake this cafe can be found kind of the back of a chic neighbourhood with a lake view and if your looking to shake things up Mira has no problem helping you achieve that taste! Happy fall thank you FRAM❤️

Amazing staff, amazing drinks! Happy hour is 3 - 5, dollar off drinks! They have tap, canned, froze, wine (all the standards + orange!), and a super chill and inviting space (with a game sized TV!) The staff have so much fun, engaging personality. It’s right on the water and has a roll up wall so you can have a view of the water. Indoor seating, outdoor seating, super convenient location with ample parking around. 10/10 will be coming here all the time to hang, watch the game, work, study, read, literally everything!
