Cafe Orleans
1 Greyhound Dr, Charleston, WV
Crema's Take
“Cafe Orleans brings a relaxed, traditional vibe to Charleston with solid breakfast offerings and classic comfort food, though recent visits suggest inconsistency in both execution and kitchen attention to detail. The friendly service and food quality that earned its loyal fans seem to be wavering lately, with multiple complaints about oversalting, cold dishes, and inconsistent preparation that overshadow the charm of what should be a neighborhood favorite. If you're willing to give them a shot, go for breakfast and stick with their simpler offerings rather than the more elaborate specials.”

I love their food so much , the service is excellent , the only thing you could change is your fries , they are the worse Ever . Crinkled fries would be excellent - Any fries would be great , I love your food so much but the fries are horrible , I complained with management and they said that I would have to do a review online !!!! Thank you so much !!!!
This place is trash. The fries are extremely salty. I had the burger and my wife had the quesadilla. The quesadilla had good flavor but tasted scorched and burnt. The burger was wrecked. You get 2 4oz patties that are super thin and cooked to death. It was very dry. It was $19 after adding bacon that looked like it's been cooking all day. Some like it brittle like bacon bits, not me. The table was sticky. We tried a different table and it was the same way. That usually means they are using the same tired wet towel to wipe off all of the tables. The service was friendly which is the reason for 2 stars. If you come, go get food in town and avoid this place.
If I could give zero stars I would. My food sat on a warming shelf for 10 minutes while my husband's food was finishing cooking. It became cold and inedible just sitting under a lamp that had absolutely no ability to warm apparently. Skip this place. Definitely not worth the time or money.
We ordered the Dip. It was super salty, the fries were stone cold. When my napkin and arm stuck to the table I knew they hadn't been properly cleaned in way too long.
I give them 3 because I have had great food here. But do not get their Muffuletta special. I love a Muffuletta but I couldn’t even eat this sandwich. It was like someone was pouring salt in my mouth. I know it is a salty sandwich, but this was horrible. I could not taste the meat or olives. My mouth still burns from the salt. Threw it away. Sad. Get the shrimp po-boy. It is very good!
