Bridge Cafe & Bistro

Crema's Take
“Bridge Cafe & Bistro is a Charleston gem where breakfast reaches an art form, with house-made sausage, bacon, and jam showcasing their commitment to local sourcing and quality ingredients that justify the step up from chain prices. The kitchen shines brightest in the morning hours with standout lattes and omelets that keep regulars coming back, though their bistro menu extends well beyond coffee to heartier lunch options like their creamy fettuccine dishes. The newer outdoor seating and warm, friendly atmosphere make it equally perfect for lingering over a leisurely breakfast or catching up with friends over pastries and specialty drinks.”

We visited Bridge on Valentine's Day Eve and really enjoyed the experience. The blackened steak with fettuccine alfredo, roasted garlic, and sun dried tomatoes was delicious. The alfredo sauce was exactly the right amount to compliment the scrumptious steak but not over powering. The roasted garlic was a nice touch & very good. This was not only a delicious dish, it was a nice surprise & change of pace. The s'mores cheesecake is yummy! And the coffee master makes a great, frothy hot cup of wonderfulness!
Breakfast is high quality with a much locally sourced as possible. Sausage, bacon, and jam made in house. More expensive than a chain restaurant but worth the cost. Nice environment with friendly and attentive staff
Bridge Cafe and Bistro is an incredible breakfast destination. The omelette and latte were simply fantastic. I’m definitely going to make this my go to breakfast spot.
Hubby and i got the burger, it was nasty. 2 lil tiny hard unflavoured burgers, we expected 1 big juicy meat patty, no. There was only a tiny dollop of sauce but emough lettuce to feed a cow, the "pickles" werent picked. They were sliced cucumber. My masked potatoes had no flavour or moisture at all, they were hard, i picked up my whole pile with my fork. Hibby brussel sprouts were great and the loaded fried were great. Our waitress was a blonde, with pink notepad, she did great. The parking situation is horrendous. And i loved all the artwork and plants.
This restaurant has come a long way from where they were several years ago. The menu has a good selection and all of the food was fantastic with large portions. Love the new location with the outdoor seating and lights, as well as the kids corner with the play kitchen and the tic tac toe we found on our table. Very kid friendly. The cheese fries have made my top 3 list, and my husband was thrilled with the meat loaf. Will definitely visit again.
