One of my favorite coffee shops in Seattle! 💜 Delicious coffee, and super cozy place.

One of the best coffee shops. I usually go to the 5th Ave location in downtown, which is completely unbeatable for drinks AND vibes imo, but really enjoyed the coffee at this location as well. As many others have also probably mentioned, it’s extremely tight and crammed. Even so, I was able to get some work done on a quieter day but definitely not a sit-down cafe if that’s what you’re looking for.

Coffee was good but service was definitely lacking the morning we were there. There were 3 working behind the counter and hardly customers when we were there. Maybe we took too long to order? Not the locals? We're from out of town and took awhile to decide what to order. The women taking our orders was nice but the other two were just impatient and seemed unfriendly.

Ordered Americano and a scone, coffee taste was great, I could see they beans smell better than other shops I went to. Staff were kind and informative. Parking was easy to find but it’s metered. This is a cute little coffee shop that has decent space and nice ambiance. Space is well maintained and clean.

Gluten, or gluten free with your coffee? All of the above is a right answer. Cute small shop between Bradford & Spokane on California Ave. is helping revive this quiet portion of the avenue near the West Seattle Junction. Space is tight, and the flow is wonky. You give your order right as you enter, in front of the stacked cups. I always feel like the barista can't see me (blocked line of sight for shorter people). Then when you get to the open-spaced cashier don't forget to look down, into the case, for the yummy gluten pastries. To be fair I did try the gluten-free apple donut since it sat prominently on the counter. But the chewy-yet-fluffy cinnamon sugar mochi donut is my preference!! Moonrise Bakery did it right! The coffee bean is BOLD, but not too acidic (commonly mistaken for bitter). You can adjust it (Americano), or add your milk. Another weird/tight flow issue is that the lid/milk station is further inside the shop, toward the back. So if there are more than a few customers there might be some elbow rubbing & bumping. But if you love their coffee bean then I guess you can put up with it. As for me, if it's too busy I'll just wait until next time. They do have some other coffee-making related supplies,including whole bean, for sale. And a local chocolate company's dark chovolate bars for sale (I'll update the brand when I remember). Nice staff, worth trying and supporting this small business.
