Crema's Take
“Haraz brings Middle Eastern café culture to Syracuse with thoughtfully crafted specialty drinks like their standout pistachio latte and karak tea, paired with beautifully presented pastries that blend traditional flavors with modern flair. The relaxed, stylish atmosphere strikes that rare balance of being both Instagram-worthy and genuinely comfortable for lingering over work or conversation, making it feel less like a transaction and more like a refuge.”

I got a pistachio latte which was sooo yummy! It didn’t taste like a typical over sweetened, fake syrup, so the pistachio flavor tasted great. Atmosphere is very relaxed and perfect for doing work for hours as there’s multiple outlets and places to sit. Overall, service and latte were great but almost $10 for one drink is a little steep in my opinion. Music can be pretty loud at times too. Nonetheless, I’ll always support minority owned businesses!
Haraz Coffee House has a great location and a beautiful, stylish interior. The desserts are fancy, tasty, and nicely presented, and the dishes look very elegant. The karak tea was okay, but a bit too strong for my taste. Overall, it’s a lovely place to visit.
So I tried the new coffee shop that just opened on the university campus, and I’m really glad they put it there because it’s not a far walk from me. I’ve been seeing it get popular, so I wanted to try it. They had a good variety of treats, but I went with the strawberry glazed croissant. You can never go wrong with a croissant, and it was really good — soft, flaky, and sweet. I got a caramel macchiato too, which was the perfect type of sweet for me. I liked how much space they had, especially in the back. It makes sense since it’s on a college campus. It wasn’t overly loud, just normal conversations going on. One thing I thought was smart — if you stay there, they put your food and drink on a cute tray that matches their theme. And since croissants are messy, all the crumbs just fall into the tray instead of everywhere else. They also give you a fork and knife, which I appreciated. They give you a buzzer when you order, so it feels organized. The decor is cute and the colors blend well. I would definitely go back, maybe even make it a quick little girls coffee date one day.
They have a great selection of croissants such as glazed, filled, topped and plains! So cute but had a twist of Middle East culture and truly represents Yemen. They also have list of drinks like lattes, frappes, refreshers, smoothies and espresso/teas! The girl at the cashier didn’t know much but was polite.
This was my first time trying Haraz and I absolutely enjoyed it. My friends and I ordered the green apple fruit cake, the Dubai Chocolate, Bee bites, an Iced pistachio latte, a salted caramel latte, and I had the Matcha Latte with Haraz spice. I loved the aromas of the coffee and the desserts weren’t too sweet but delicious, I really like the bee bites also! The atmosphere made me feel fancy 🥰 and it was welcoming! Lastly, customer service was amazing and also accommodating.
