Crema's Take
“OTIS Craft Collective is a genuinely beloved neighborhood spot where experienced baristas treat every cappuccino like it matters, rotating creative drinks like pistachio rose lavender matcha lattes alongside their rock-solid espresso fundamentals. The vibe skews welcoming and unpretentious—think comfortable sofas, whole milk hot chocolate, and warming up breakfast burritos for customers who stumble in hungry—making it as much a place to linger as to grab and go. With near-perfect reviews highlighting consistency, genuine service recovery when things go wrong, and that rare quality of feeling like a true hidden gem despite being beloved locally, this is the kind of craft coffee shop that justifies a detour in Lafayette.”

Best craft coffee I’ve had in my yearly visits to Colorado. Bussin cappuccino Experienced and fun baristas
I go to Otis often and their coffee is delicious every time. The service is wonderful. The very few times my order hasn't been correct, they've remade it right away and were friendly about it. I've hardly ever been there when there wasn't a line, and the line moves slowly, but it's worth the wait for their coffee. I usually get a pastry or a Spruce Confections burrito with my coffee, but if anyone I'm with can't find something they want from the small selection they just go next door to Button Rock Bakery/Deli. So everyone can always leave happy. It is in a building with a large atrium that is very popular for co-working and families.
We went for coffee and saw they had breakfast. The burritos (Spruce Breakfast Burritos) were in the refrigerated cooler and then the coffee shop warmed it up for us. It was very tasty and not overly priced. We tried the Red Hot Chili Mocha which did have a kick, but was very delicious. The atmosphere was great especially with the “District” right next door - will need to try the donut place next time (but was full from my burrito).
We were the oldest people there so this review comes from that perspective. Hot chocolate was good since it is made with whole mild. The sofas, when available, are nice and comfortable although a bit old and worn. This shop has the typical 'hard surface' decor (steel and concrete) which makes it hard to hear. Based on the other customers this looks like a good place to go on a date with your phone or laptop.
Hidden gem of the area! Found this place through Google Maps/Reviews as I'd never heard of it before. They always have fun, special rotating drinks! I've had a pistachio rose lavender matcha latte that literally one of the best things I've ever had anywhere. And the Cereal Milk latte was so interesting too! Bright, nice area to work, but lots of the tables are high tops and few outlets for charging. Staff is always super nice! There can be a bit of a wait if they're busy, but reasonably so.
