St. Joe's Coffee
449 US Rt 1, York, ME
Crema's Take
“St. Joe's is a beloved breakfast and coffee destination where the real star is their creative, craveable sandwiches—especially the inventive "Hail Mary" and chicken variations topped with house-made spreads like tiger teeth for a kick. The espresso drinks are solid and their signature "Bennies" (fried dough) keep people coming back, all served with genuine warmth at their quick counter service in a family-friendly spot that opens early for those on-the-go moments. It's the kind of place that earns its 4.6-star reputation through consistently satisfying food and coffee, not flash, making it a must-stop for York visitors hungry for more than just a caffeine fix.”

Man, that was a dang good sandwich!! We were driving through and stopped in for breakfast. Flavored iced coffee was delicious and the sandwich was delicious - the bacon was crumbled and cooked in with the eggs, it was cheesy and on a biscuit that wasn’t too crumbly. And quite a large portion! Very pleased with this find
The food was fine . No issues . When I ordered the clerk handed me a cup for me to fill myself and then popped a donut in a bag and gave it to me . Then spun the pay machine around asking for a tip . I pressed no tip as I am getting my own coffee and fixing it and no service was provided . I sat down to eat my donut and saw a big sign on the wall . “ please clean off and wipe down your table when you’re done” . Please skip asking for a tip if the customer has to fill and make their own coffee and then you ask them to clean their own table off after . They Also provide you will spay and cleaning cloths lol .
This was a pretty good coffee shop with breakfast sandwiches. I came here for the chicken but it seems they were out of the chicken. We got the 3 Hail Mary sandwich which my husband loved. Not my favorite but not bad! Coffee was delicious.
This breakfast sandwiches we tried were absolutely delicious and definitely a must try if you are in the area. Get the tiger teeth spread on your sandwhich if you like a little kick. The whoopie pies here were really tasty too. If you feel like taking one for the road, they reheat very nicely!
This place deserves its rating. Quick, counter service and they whip up delicious sandwiches and “Bennies” which are like fried dough. Coffee was tasty and food was satisfying. Had the chicken sandwich with their sriracha cream cheese and vegetarian sausage, egg and cheese on their homemade biscuits.
