Crema's Take

Poindexter Coffee is a college-friendly study spot with a genuinely clean, comfortable space and friendly staff, but the coffee knowledge and execution are shaky — baristas struggled to answer basic questions about origin and didn't know what size a cortado should be, and drinks like the chagaccino skew aggressively sweet. If you're looking for serious coffee, skip it; if you need a pleasant place to camp out with a laptop and decent pastries, it works fine for that.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly spot, good for meetings. Pastries and light food on the menu. Wifi.

Pretty bad… space is kinda nice, but they seem clueless on coffee. Couldn’t tell me origin of the drip and when I ordered a Cortado they asked if I wanted a 4oz or 8oz. I was so confused. Espresso was sour and under extracted. If you need a place to study this could be nice,…
