Hilltop Coffee

I’m originally from Pittsburgh but haven’t lived in the area in quite a few years. I came home for the holidays and stumbled across this little shop on my way to visit friends. IT IS AMAZING! The gentleman behind the counter was so pleasant and kind. And they make their own non-dairy milk in house which is sooo incredible!! Highly recommend!

If you're looking to be a part of a community and get a great cup of coffee while you're at it, look no further than Hilltop Coffee. Hilltop is not your average coffee shop. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you're a part of something. Whether it be the local art that adorns the walls, yummy (& thoughtfully sourced) food, or the undeniably good conversation, Hilltop is doing it right. As a dairy-free person, I felt like my needs were beyond met. There was even dairy free whipped cream, which is quite rare! The seasonal drink menu is always bringing something new to the table. Kudos to Tim, the owner, for creating a space for not only a cup of coffee but for a cup of community joy, too.

Amazing small and charming shop with kind and community oriented owners and staff. We stopped by before our drive back to MD and I am so glad I did not pass this place up. Coffee beans single roasted and quality picked, we got a bag of beans but the Dubai chocolate mocha and cortado were soooo smooth! The staff were kind, courteous and generous, a charming spot in the community! We will def be regulars whenever we stop by Pittsburg. - sincerely, Zara and Sabeeh 😊

This place made me feel better than my own home. It was my first time at Hilltop Café, and I can honestly say the kindness and warmth here are rare to find. The owner and the staff weren’t doing this for money — it was so clear that they genuinely love what they do. They even let me try their handmade products, and everything was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is so cozy and comforting that I wanted to stay until the evening. They truly made my day. From now on, I’ll be coming here every week, at least once. Don’t wait for your path to cross with this place — make it a destination. Highly recommended.

This coffee shop is magnificent. We came up from Cincy and picked this spot. So happy we did. I always love to hit a coffee shop when out of town and do a review. Got to meet the owner who in his spare time roasts some mean coffee beans. If you get a chance ask to speak to Margret. She workes super hard. I had a latte and it was perfect. The vibe is high here. Good people who take care of their neighbors. These are the places I like to spend my money. I will be back anytime I am back in Pittsburgh.
