Crema's Take

Cafe 44 is a serene neighborhood gem with soaring wooden ceilings and warm lighting that makes it feel like a genuine refuge from the chaos outside. Their signature creative drinks shine—think actual-pumpkin pumpkin spice lattes and inventive creations like chocolate shells with coconut cream and mango—and while the pastries are a mixed bag, the Dubai croissants and artisanal approach show real care in their craft. It's the kind of calm, design-forward space where you'll see regulars lingering over coffee, families settling in, and people getting actual work done, all without the corporate feel of a chain.

Cafe 44 in Morton Grove is one of those places that feels effortless and calm. The space is open with high wooden ceilings and warm lighting. Clean, simple design with a peaceful atmosphere. It’s the kind of café where you can truly slow down. I ordered a Cappuccino and a Pistachio Latte. Both were smooth and well balanced. The pistachio latte stood out lightly sweet, refined, and beautifully finished. You can taste the care in each cup. They also offer a nice selection of pastries and desserts at the counter. A quiet, comfortable spot with quality coffee and good energy. I’ll definitely be back.

Came here after work to finish up some task. Coffee is pretty good. I see some complaints about price, yes they are same price as Starbucks, at least from what I ordered. Also they have a 3% credit card fee. Nice. I don't remember they warned me about that. Service is odd. No one greet you or say anything. I was just standing there and they were working until I speak up. All the customers already sat down and have their drinks so I don't understand why I wasn't greeted. Bake goods are dry. Taste like 5 days old

Amazing New bakery and cafe spot in Morton Grove. We walked in early Saturday morning and it was popping. I got a Dubai filled croissant, which was amazing very generous on the filling and the croissant had phenomenal texture! I don't drink coffee so I'm not sure what the coffee taste like. The service was great counter service. I would Definitely go back and try some other pastries. 100% Recommend!

Decided to try a new place this cafe is simple and cute only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is due to their bakery items being super dry not really worth the price. I ordered a vanilla chai that was made well, I did enjoy that. Overall okay probably would skip the pastries.

This place is so cute! And so tasty! I got a Pumpkin Spiced Latte that tasted like actual pumpkin served in a cute glass, and a “Fruit Dessert”, a dark chocolate shell with coconut cream and a mango purée in the shape of a half coconut. The girl at the register was friendly and helpful and I really liked the ambiance- it was minimal with pretty fixtures and plenty of seating. I will definitely come back when I’m in the area!
