Parakeet Cafe - Carlsbad

I stopped into Parakeet last Sunday night, on my way to the airport, to catch my flight home to Portland. I was provided excellent customer service by 3 people that worked there: Ashley S, Ryan, and Shawn. They were warm and friendly, and provided the perfect send-off before I left San Diego! They were very accommodating in making sure my order was vegan, and catered to my specific food desires. Super delicious hot chocolate, and I also grabbed a cookie and bowl to go. I love how clean and healthy Parakeet is, and I appreciate how they do not used refined sugar in their desserts. This is very hard to find! I can’t wait to come back to San Diego for more Parakeet treats!

Solid spot for a quick bite and coffee run. I love their different pastries from other pastry shops and their signature coffees. The maple latte is good, i like it iced. Also, if you're kicking it there, highly recommend sticking to their drip coffee because they give free refills. GF told me her mom didn't like the blueberry scones but I tried them and they are good!! Its a texture preference for sure. They're on the crumbly side rather than soft and I liked it. My go to with my girl whenever we have a minute, staff is super chill too. Haven't heard any Karen's bug them so I hope theyre good 🙏🏽🤙🏽

As with the Del Mar location, the decor of the café/ restaurant is very cute and Instagram- able. The food was fresh, however the portion size was rather small. My salmon toast came on a slice of sourdough and 1 thin piece of smoked salmon. Very disappointing for $18. Not a place to go if you are hungry.

What a cool cafe/coffee shop. Love ALL the PINK LOVE 💕 Manager—Dori was so helpful, kind, willing to ensure a great first time experience. Lily at the counter was also great. Thank you both for making my visit a great one. Wonderful inside and outside seating, comfortable, great place to get some work done and to grab a coffee or a bite to eat. Check out the menus (photos). I only had coffee (drip & espresso shot). Love that they have Heavy Cream. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

I like it! Just quick stop for cappuccino & chocolate croissants. 🥐 yes I ate some of croissants before I remembered to take pics. It was yummy. The servers are very attentive. They have a very large breakfast menu as well but I was saving my stomach for lunch 😅😍 view from my seat. The music was nice. Nice place to sit & read.
