602 Coffee & Acai
1652 Newport Blvd, Newport Beach, CA
Crema's Take
“This Newport Beach spot pairs excellent cold brew and thoughtfully crafted specialty drinks with a vibrant acai bowl menu that feels genuinely special rather than an afterthought. The quirky, unique interior and genuinely warm staff create an atmosphere where you'll actually want to linger over breakfast, whether you're grabbing a famously thick bagel for a quick bite or settling in for a leisurely morning with their rotating recommended drinks. It's the kind of place where regulars keep coming back on weekends, drawn as much by the friendly service and afternoon calm as by the quality in their cups and bowls.”

This is my second time here both for take out. First of all, staff is super sweet and welcoming. I hate it when the food is good but bad service and it stops me going back to those places. The first time i had a big Acai bowl. I finished it in one sitting tho. It was really refreshing. This time i had pastries. Not sure if those are homemade or not but the quality is really good. Blueberry muffin has huge amount of blueberry. It makes the difference in every bites. Ham and cheese croissant: also lots of ham stuffed in. Im so used to ham and cheese from donut shop by the house, it was good but here just like wake me up and realize that there is a better version of good ham cheese croissant. Banana bread. Good as well.
Right next to the UCI Health clinic. Great cold brew, berry açaí bowl and thicc bagel (that’s literally what they call it). All are 5/5. Staff was very friendly. Very limited seating but you can park at the UCI clinic next door for free. Absolutely recommend everything here! Check out the restroom key fob!
We stopped by this spot today — what an interesting place. The interior is definitely unique, kind of quirky in the best way. Now, the menu isn’t huge, but if you’re looking for a good breakfast, I’d absolutely recommend giving it a try. First of all — the coffee. Incredible. I ordered a latte with almond milk for myself, and a matcha (also with almond milk) for my wife. For food, we went with an avocado toast for her. They offered to make it spicy — I said, no thanks. I got a bagel with egg, bacon, cheese, a patty, and a little bit of spicy sauce. Our son had a bagel too — just egg, cheese, and the patty. And let me tell you — damn, it was delicious. Like, seriously good. If you’re in the mood for a great breakfast, this place is worth checking out. Don’t expect an endless menu, but what they do have, they do really well. Friendly staff, excellent coffee, and a solid breakfast — what more can you ask for? Highly recommend. Eat well, friends.
I get acai and coffee here on weekends. The paradise bowl and power bowl are my go-tos. Service is quick and people are nice, never gets too busy in the afternoons. Parking lot is kind of small but you can park on the street. As for drinks the coconut caramel latte is really good as well as the bananas foster cold brew. You can even buy the bananas foster beans to enjoy at home!
This place has a lot of great options and different options from your standard coffee shop. They have recommended drinks and I went with the staff favorite. I’ll definitely be back.
