Caffe Ladro - Fairview SLU
400 Fairview Ave N, Seattle, WA
Crema's Take
“This cozy corner spot in the SLU office district pulls off the tricky balance of being both a quick caffeine pit stop and a legitimate place to linger over a pour over. The espresso is the real draw here—consistently solid and crafted with care—paired with a respectable selection of pastries that pair nicely with your cup, though the vibe skews a bit utilitarian and the lighting could be warmer. It's genuinely convenient for meetings or focused work sessions, especially during the morning rush, though some visitors find the atmosphere falls just short of the cozy refuge you might hope for.”

I met here for a quick business meeting out of convenience. I've also enjoyed Bleuwiches next door. I ordered a small ("tall") strawberry banana smoothie. It was much sweeter than expected. Not a big deal. Just reminded me of McDonald's smoothie. "Abolish ICE" and "Nobody is illegal on stolen land" propaganda decorating the cash register and Trans flag in the window. The prices are exactly what you'd expect for a downtown coffee shop foisting their deplorable flavor-of-the-week politics on uninterested patrons. Pass.
Great coffee. Decent selection of baked goods. Staff were cordial but not overly friendly.
Small corner coffee shop at the office area. Busy during workday morning. Coffee is just all right as Capuchino is just the taste coming from the machine. A little more expensive then those beverage in Starbucks.
Delicious coffee in a small cafe within a larger corporate office building. There was tables and chairs in the very large lobby, space to hang out in and a few tables in the actual space itself. They had some pastries and food items. They did not have decaf drip, but they did have hemp milk as one of their many dairy free milk, options.
My experience at Caffe Ladro South Lake Union was alright, nothing good or bad stood out, although I found this store too dark and therefore a bit depressing, and the service lukewarm. The shop is located at the ground floor of an office building, I guess it caters towards the grab-and-go folks. Coffee was ok, and they carry some pastries and beverages too.
